I'm assuming you have a PS3 Slim if the 2010 was displaying True HD previously. It sounds like they changed the PS3 to LPCM instead of Bitsream, in which case the PS3 would be decoding the audio and sending it out as LPCM. You can change this on the PS3 while you have a movie going by doing the following with the controller:
Triangle > AV Settings > Audio Output Format > Set to "Bitstream"
The PS3 should then send the audio untouched. The 2010 will then do the decoding and thus should display Dolby TrueHD. You can also do the same thing under:
XMB > Settings > Video Settings > BD/DVD - Audio Output Format (HDMI) > Set to "Bitstream"
If this doesn't fix it and you're getting the vanilla Dolby Digital, they may have turned off the HD Audio codecs in the PS3 Sound Settings. So from the XMB, do the following:
Settings > Sound Settings > Audio Output Settings > HDMI > Manual
Make sure Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio are checked.Edited by red_5ive - 8/1/12 at 8:39pm
