I would love to get this down to a single remote for everything if possible.
To others; regarding the ARC and CEC...I think I have enabled what I can. I am getting the same results. the only way I seem to be able to get the ARC from the VieraCast applications to work is to enable HDMI control on the Yamaha. I get the same results every time I do that; Pandora, tuner and net radio will only output to the TV speakers. (via HDMI). I still cannot get the system to direct the audio to the speakers correctly. I have not yet updated the firmware but will this evening.
If you found the device, then it should have the codes. You simply need to assign them to whatever buttons you would like. Usually, the d-pad and enter will be automatically assigned only when you go use the 'device' button and select the receiver. Within the activities, they will be assigned to the output device (bluray, cable box, cd player, etc). I'm not sure about the 800 model, but my 676 has separate buttons for audio and video that will give you an alternate set of controls within each activity. For instance, when I am in watch bluray, the d-pad controls the bluray; When I press the video button, the controls shift to my projector; When I press audio, it controls the receiver. For each of those, you have to assign the controls to each button within the Logitech setup. It may take awhile and you may want to change things as you figure out what commands you need more often, but if you keep at it, you will eventually get things exactly like you want. Harmony remotes are awesome. I have 4 now...three 676 models and one 650 model.
