I use Living Room mode when there are people over for daytime games, and it's plenty bright enough on that screen. Obviously, brightness is important in my setup.
For those with Epson experience, what would be considered a solid upgrade? If I drop a few grand on something that my wife pronounces looks like the old picture, I'll get castrated.
But I have to scratch the itch. Suggestions, please.
Your units contrast is 18,000:1...
And because its the 6100 which has an older style lamp and Iris
I would go with the 6010...
You would jump up to 200,000 to 1
Hopefully they have improved the iris function in the new model
you get an extra Mount (yours wont work with the new unit)..Cable cover.,
and Bulb..(the extra bulb will really come in handy if Epson never fixed the premature Early bulb problem from last yr)
and you get 3yrs replacement Next Day Warranty...
Also you have 1600 lumens the new model Has Higher Lumens
All in all will work very well with your BD Screen
