(bidding on internet, don't have them yet). You 've said earlier that: " JBL GTO1014 (make the cabinet 10-5/8" wide internally". You mean it should be narrower than the original width?
I did not draw your tarted version. Should I? What is the advantage?
I wil include a picture of my drawing. Thanks for your great work. I enjoyed working with it.
With kind regards

Full-width works OK too. Narrower just puts a little more load on the driver, the predicted response is a touch smoother is all.

"Tarted" is a harder build, and according to the model, it performs the same. I've only built normal ones.

There are plenty of other drivers if you don't get the GTO.

HI Mike,
Thanks. I'll stick to the normal ones
I can get two JBL gto 1014 for 95 Euro.
Just in case it wil be cancelled: in Holland we do not have every driver you mentioned earlier. What are the criteria for a good driver for the T-6?
SPL? frequenty range? Fz?
I will combine them with Klipsch heresy 3 (they can go loud).
Kind regards, Koen

Hi Mike,
the JBL drivers I mentioned earlier where not the JBL gto-1014 but JBL gt5-10. I calculated in hornresp with both drivers and the narrow width off the horn. The drivers gave practicaly the same results. Are these gt5-10 versions oke for the hornT6?
kind regards

Nice looking build.

I've got a Fi Car Audio Q10 with dual 2ohm coils. Will it work in this enclosure? The sub is rated for 1500w RMS. Will it take that much power in this enclosure? Thanks. smile.gif

The Q 10 has too much motor to have a smooth response in this tapped horn.

:\ Bummer. I was hoping on doing something special with this sub. Thanks for the insight.

Well... Now that I have you here, any recommendations? smile.gif

Well, I got distracted with the CVX-15s I have to play with, so I conjured up the MicroWrecker instead.

As far as the T-12?? Well, if one was to take the MicroWrecker fold, make it skinnier, and load it with a proper 12, you'd have one...

Nothing to look up yet - there is no official thread, just my build and one over at HTS.

Hi lilmike,

Do you have any external dimensions on the micro? I have been looking for something to fit under the stage.
I was going to use 4 Exodus Anarchy 6.5 kits I bought from Erich but now I’m thinking of a pair of something bigger.

The stage is 4' x 14' and 2' tall, joist spacing will be 18 or 23" so I'm looking to slide something between the joists.

Thanks
Al

Well, I thought things would have slowed down sufficiently for me to get a few things done....like building the second one and some further testing of the test mule...

Since the rest of my life has me considerably busier than I thought I'd be, neither one of those two items has seen any progress, so there's no official thread yet.

External dimensions are 47.5" tall, 24" wide, and 30.25" deep.

What are your thoughts about this woofer working in a T-6?

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=299-246

I bought one if these a couple of years ago cause I thought it looked good for the price. It would be awesome if it would work!

Thanks in advance!

I grabbed a couple of those too... At least I learned something...

I measured them with and without the bucking magnets. Leave the magnets on, and use them in a small sealed box.

Nowhere near enough motor power for that driver to be useful in the T-6.

Thanks lilmike,

Looks like I'm out of luck..... again

Man I wish I had more space to work with.
