How did you make out with your fathers' motion 12's? I'm surprised you didnt explain to him they need adequate 'break in' time. At your place, of course.....

Thanks! My dad wouldn't believe in the break in process so oh well:/ I did get to play with em for a little...kind of wanted to keep em haha

Pretty Awesome!! I'll have to steal your LED idea; my couch is going to be against a short semi-wall that opens up to the kitchen. The 2 Surround Backs are going to be in that space ... I would love to do the lay down floor LED's like you did.

Did you say you got them from Amazon? Simple plug 'n play?

How do you get the Intro to play before every movie? I'm also using MediaPortal! BTW - You probably have it resolved at this point - but use LAV Filters with MP1.2 ... decodes everything from DTS-HD MA, TrueHD, etc. to old school MP3, WMA and all.

Thanks! The led kit was from amazon. Comes with a nice little switch with diff modes. Just look up led home theater kit. For the intros I use mypremovies. In the advanced options (the list one) there's a play custom intro. If you can't find it ill take a screenshot when I get home.

Currently I'm using mp 1.2 but set to use mpc hc as an ext player. Lav filters ftw plus madvr/mad flac too1

For move nights check out MyPreMovie.com. Its an app created by an avs member that allows you to play slideshows + trailers before the main feature. I use it to play my premovie show slides than trailers than some dolby and dts intros. Oh and cant forget the DOMAX intro lol.

For trailers download them from itunes. they will be in the music folder on your computer (or whereever you set itunes to store songs). You can find a bunch of nice slides here on avs

Haha I bottomed it out. Had to turn it down so I'm pretty depressed. The old PDR-10 though bottomed too and doesn't sound "right" anymore. Thanks alot Immortals ahaha

It's actually an old laptop . Specs are Intel T6600 4 gigs ram and a Nvidia GT 220m. If you don't know where to start, let me recommend Assassin HTPC to you (local member here). He knows his stuff and builds some great looking HTPCs.

I myself rip my blurays and than compress them big time. Only reason I sacrifice quality is because I prefer to hold as much movies as I can on my hard drives. I honestly though cant tell the difference between the full rip ISO and my end result encodes

I like the LED blue neon light I was going to do multiple colours of LED years ago but the cost would be huge along with cheap circuit controller.

eBay as some cheap multi RGB ones I looked at this one below and wow the price for so 5 meters mad! The colours can flow up and and give a nice mood setting in the room. I just brought it!

I can throw out tons of ideas, my friend.

You know, it's pretty easy to make a subwoofer. Just got to figure out your budget and size cuz I know that's something you have to deal with. Though I would most certainly design one that wouldn't 'bottom'.

How much space you got on hand? How big can this sub be?

Hmmm let me get some measurements when I get home. Id be willing to up the budget if I could build something offering similar performance to an outlaw lfm1 ex but smaller. Second ex takes too much room

Ehhh....

How bout all that space behind your couch? That's a gold mine for several small subs. It's hard to tell for for sure without physically being in your room.
