Hey guys,

I been toying around with the idea of using my PN50C550 as my monitor. i did a search for this here but it seems the only real info is for the Radion issue.

What im wondering, is there really any reason i cant or shouldnt do this?

Thanks

You can use it, but make sure your screen saver is turned on. Plasma's can burn in like old CRTs.

Everyone is doing this now, but you'll need to adopt a couch-like setup (wireless mouse/keyboard) because if you put a 50" TV on a desk and sit in front of it like a small monitor then you'll be rotating your neck a lot to look up and down, side-to-side... So you can't use it in a traditional setup, but it totally works if you wanna sit on a couch, and can find a suitable mouse-pad. The most difficult transition for me was using the mouse as it rests on the arm of my lay-z chair; it sometimes falls to the floor, etc...

Very cool, thanks guys.
I was just looking for some validation to do it and wanted to be very sure i wasn't going to kill the TV.
