Paramount - you are disappoint

Here's to hoping they make the upgrade when the inevitable M:I 4-pack comes out. Doubtful.

I'd love if they did, but for now I'm just going to get my films for "free." I already have M:I III, so now I'm going to buy the first two for $10 each, which both come with a free ticket voucher for Ghost Protocol.

For those who don't know, this just came out in the States on 12/6.

The Hong Kong trilogy set (Paramount) released back in February contains new AVC encodes/DTS MA for all three (confirmed HERE), BUT it will set you back $80. Here's hoping Paramount bring those stateside with the inevitable set including GP.

I wouldn't double dip on the first two because they're not good enough to justify spending money on again but I think I would go back again for the third film, just because of all the macroblocking that's going on in that one.

Released last week, I believe.

I only want Part III, having now thought about it. I never liked the first one and the second one has tarnished severely, in my eyes, over the years.

Oh, yeah, read the date formatting wrong. That would be Dec 2, not Feb 12

Hmm.. let's pitch in on the HK set. You guys keep the snoozorz third one and I'll take the awesome first two.
Just bought the HK version from DDDHouse. I'll do a comparison to the HD DVD when I receive it.

I am never again buying a box set, and having any sequels sit outside said box looking sad and left out!

Meh, I can live with sequels sitting outside of the box. Such is life.

Better than the borefest that was the third. Don't need the MI series to be chickified with dumbass, "omg, you've got my girl!". Save that crap for other crapfest 'thrillers', not Mission Impossible.

I also liked the Phantom Menace...
Have you two just been reloading the MI thread all day in anticipation of Pt II ****-talking? I can understand that. I mean, it's certainly to be expected
post #54 of 159
Nope. I reload it hoping to hear about a US release of the trilogy that's actually good.

No. I am not kidding you. There was no redeeming qualities of MI3 (as a movie), imho. Easily my least favorite of the three.
