Hell. after this thread I am no longer interested in projectors. My Sony 1000ES will hold me for awhile. Now I am interested in that $299 server preloaded which comes out in a few days and works into any 4K HDMI input. Then when the Sony content service gets up and running (DUH I said all along Sony would not make our projectors compatible until the service is up and running and they can make content money from us) and Sony offers a new input board with just HDCP 2.2 and an embedded display identification or combines it with an HDMI upgrade to, I will send my 1000ES in for a upgrade. Not going to worry about anything for awhile and I am certainly not going to harass Sony people who obviously have now been told what to say.
Now I buy lots of things. Gas, Cigars, bourbon. I never realized that I was investing in the company manufacturing and/or selling the product every time I made a purchase. Now I see that if you buy say a projector from Sony you are investing in Sony.
No You are not or I would be a lot richer. Every time I buy something its a gamble, not an investment. The Sony projector is not going to increase in value as it ages.
Sony may be gone in a few years. I may be gone. Actually, I gotta go now.Edited by mark haflich - 7/10/13 at 7:51pm
