So, you've never read an overly rosy review in your life? Seriously?
I guess I hit a nerve with your pet peeve and now have to defend myself for adding the word "honest" to my post even after explaining myself further already. Geez!
I'm an extremely honest person. I expect everyone else to be too and that simply makes me gullible, especially in person. I live with that and am OK because I'd rather believe the best in folks, but it does tend to get me burned too. However, I'm also not so naive to think that people don't have an agenda from time-to-time. If I walk into a room, I expect the truth, but I'm not stupid either and know that there are likely some that "misspeak" too. It happens from the President on down. It's especially true in a very large room where you don't see faces or rarely ever meet them in person. In case you haven't heard, don't believe everything you read on the internet or in any media. People do lie or we wouldn't need a commandment not to. People also tend to exaggerate, especially when they have some skin in the game. Perhaps you don't see this, but IMHO people tend to always rank their projector as the best value. Go look at any poll. No bias there.
As such, how can you NOT expect a rosy review from time to time? I'm not going to name names either, so don't expect an example. If you're ignorant of this truth, by all means enjoy your bliss. Just don't take your pet peeve frustrations out on me for using the word "honest". IMHO, it doesn't always come with every review.
And let me be clear about something, I said that there are POSSIBLY dishonest reviews (see above paragraph for my feelings on this subject). I followed that up with "I have no idea if there are any going around or not. I'm not interested in "other" Lumagen reviews, just Mark's." I guess I need to be extremely specific with my wording and should have said "I have no idea if there are any dishonest Lumagen reviews going around or not. I'm not interested in "other" Lumagen reviews, just Mark's."
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Nothing to see here except a dead horse. Move along....Edited by stevenjw - 11/15/13 at 8:41am
