Yep I did. I found it to be as it should be, identical aka same as upgraded 1000. To clarify for anyone still unsure, the 1100 is the same as a late model 1000 but of course already upgraded, so ie better converged from factory than my early prod 1000. Nothing handed across from the 500/600...as much as I'd love to have the autocal and any RC improvements. Prob have to wait for a VW2000 to see that I reckon..
Thanks for the info. My first impression is that the VW500/600 implementation of RC is better than we have on the 1000. It's less heavy handed and looks more natural. It also looks a bit 'softer' some might say, but that's only because it's not overcooking the highlights.
This is a shame because all they have to do is turn down the aggressiveness of the processing. This could probably be fixed with a software update.
Now this gives me more incentive to either use the 2041 or the HTPC for watching 1080P content.
I guess we all have very different preferences for PQ, I've been reading for 2 years how great the 1000 is.. and it is, when
you provide it a non-ringing upscaling solution which doesn't not include the built in RC scaling.
the 500/600 RC is 'just right' for my preferences, very nice. They should have put this change into the 1100 imo.
