Nick's responses on the phone when Schmidt called "Nick-ole" were great.

I thought that was the highlight of the episode.

I got a kick over the gang discussing how young Nick's new girlfriend is. They said something along the lines of "She doesn't even know what Netscape is," and "She thinks Ice-T has always mainly been an actor."

It's NOT the best comedy on TV, but it has come a long way since its debut. The Schmidt character is comedy gold.

Most shows would have played that scene the incredibly obvious, unfunny way of having Nick get mad at Schmidt and ask him what the hell was wrong with him. This was such a great way to handle that situation. Great writing.

Been watching since the pilot. I love this show. I think it's genious. Glad CeCe wasn't pregnant. Way too early in the series to jump.
Another great episode! I thought it was funny when Jess referred to Nick as "Bridge to Terabithia" given that Zoey played a teacher in that film too

Schmidt worrying about impregnating CeCe's baby and creating a "Russian doll situation" was both disturbing and hilarious!

A caramel miracle!

Yeah I trully loved Schmidt's reaction to the possible pregnancy..

And it seems Nick is the chick magnet now.. although they were too young...

Agreed on both points

I was also slightly disturbed by Cece's hilarious description of Schmidt's use of protection - "It's like a plastic BBQ cover in a hurricane."

This show keeps getting better each week. The one-liners are great. Loved the scene in the restaurant where Jess starts singing and at the end with the 'ass' off between Nick and Jess.

Yeah, this show is one of the absolute best on TV right now. Such confident writing and acting. I love the Russian model. The look on her face when she found herself in the magazine was amazing. The way they've handled the evolution of Schmidt-Cece is pitch perfect.

@Skyehill, you're right. This show is on fire now. I look forward it to like I do with Parks and 30 Rock.

On a different note, I am digging the show Hulu exclusive show, Battleground.

That entire scene sounded extremely painful.

Nadia's stream of consciousness about things she likes about America was awesome. Ice skating for fun... not to save lives.

Nadia: Cece, the Jewish is here to make sex!
Schmidt: My name is Schmidt, and actually we've met many times.
Nadia: I hear you make sex to Cece. You sound like dog being stepped on.
Schmidt: Anything I say, it comes from a truthful place.
Cece: Hey, what's going on?
Nadia: I like his face. I want to punch, punch, punch!
Schmidt: Beautiful women... you guys can say just about anything can't you?

Schmidt describing his injured penis: Tell them it looks like a battered traffic cone!

So much greatness in one little 21 minute episode.

Nadia was killer in this ep. I hope she stays on the show. Perhaps her ancestors may have burned down Schmidt's ancestor's village?

I have to start watching with closed captioning. Too many lines are mumbled and I don't catch.

I loved Jess' misguided attempts to bring "passion" into the relationship. Russell described the hot and cold relationship as "edging closer and closer to the woodchipper." I can relate. The anxious fighting relationships ultimately suck. I remember Robert Duvall's character in "Colors" explaining that to Sean Penn's character. He said, once you've had that kind of relationship, you realize that they are bad and you can't go back. Apparently, Jess and Nick have that chemistry and its horrible.

Nick picking up the pitch fork and telling Winston to "git".

Winston described Nick's destruction of the scarecrow as "Martin Scorsese's 'Wizard of Oz'" was great.

Funniest one since the one in which they clued Jess in on what was going on with Schmidt and CeCe. Rebecca Reid's Nadia definitely needs a permanent gig on the show, even if she's not on every episode.

Looked her up on imdb and there's hardly anything there. This could be her breakout effort.

I bet her reaction to seeing her IMDB page would be, "That's me!"

On the strength of last night's show, her reaction should be "I'd better flesh this out a bit, as some people might come calling.''

I thought this time Jess and Nick will finally realized they are made for each other.. I guess not.. maybe season finale?

Man I couldn't stop laughing at Schmidt... he steals the show every time..
Just watched the DVR last night. funny episode.

I knew with the first episode that Jess & Nick would end up dating. I hope not right now, at least.

That's reassuring. Because I would have bet a handsome sum of money that that'd be how they end the season; having those two wake up in bed with that WTF look.

They keep teasing us with a potential hook-up, but I'm really glad they are staying friends for now because they have a great dynamic. I couldn't stop laughing when they were shaking their asses at each other

This episode was just too good! Even Winston had some great lines

I thought it was the perfect riff on Jess' desire for passion and the writer's kind of ambivalence towards such relationships. You have Russell and Ouli's intense hatred (and Ouli's great passion at the gym) and Russell's description of the relationship as "edging closer and closer to the woodchipper." You have Schmidt's and CeCe's all sex and getting to be some like relationship. You have Winston and Shelby's lovey-dovey schmaltz. You have Nick's total flailing around. You have Jess' flailing around, not knowing what she wants.

I think that is a pretty good description of many relationships mature or immature and a good springboard for examination and deconstruction. I really liked that Jess and Nick had that passion moment that Jess wanted but it was very much negative energy. I thought that was a very good way to go and that lesser shows would have made it into a desperate embrace.

That one had me rolling. This show has become top notch. I'm digging all of the main characters. Even the guest characters have been good fits.

Schmidt steals almost every scene he's in, which is why it was so great that his co-star, the russian, stole every scene from him. She had a small, albeit great, scene a few episodes ago when Schmidt was hiding in the couch. "JEW IN THE COUCH! JEW IN THE COUCH!" To which Schmidt replied, "Well, she's not wrong."
