Best sound bar that I heard at CEDIA

I have always been a snob when it came to sound bars. I have a dedicated room that is capable of playing clean reference levels. I stopped using TV speakers back in 1980. At CEDIA there were sound bars every where. Since I had access to so many sound bars, I decided to see if a sound bar really could provide a half way decent HT experience. The best sounding sound bar, by far was the Atlantic Technology H-PAS Power Bar 235. I was shocked at just how good this sound bar did for stereo and for 5.1 surround sound in a dedicated room. There was not a sub in the system and yet I was hearing tight solid sounding bass. Bass that you would not have thought possible from that sound bar. Now I am not about to consider replacing my 5.1 HT system, but I have come to learn that sound bars can be used and do a much better job than I though was possible.

Found a review for this sound bar. People looking for sound bars really need to go listen to this one. http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/s...h-pas-powerbar

Also saw the youtube video on this and it look really good. Can't wait for it to come out, may just get this if the price is right (in Canada)

I have no idea on the pricing of this sound bar vs the others, but performance wise it is head and shoulders above most of the competition. We ship to Canada.

Hmmm...pretty glad I found this thread. Moreover, I truly hope it is coming out in the fall. I have a need for a simple (one box) solution in one of our living rooms. If true, I won't need to make a purchase on the Atlantic FS-7.1 bar.

The MSRP was once $500 (source) which had me super excited. I'll be bummed out if it ends up being almost twice that. Fingers crossed!

I emailed them back, and was told that lot's of changes have been made in the last year so the price went up. She was positive it would be $899 MSRP.

I am currently in the market for a good soundbar too. I have read lots of reviews on different sound bars from $150 all the way up to $2000. Lots of different opinions. I have located a used B&W Panorama for under 1k. Would this be my best option or could this Atlantic Technology top it?

this looks like a good replacement for my deftech ssa-50, if it materalizes, no subwoofer space in bedroom, and my onkyo tx-nr3007 is wasting space.

Did anyone actually review the Atlantic PB-235 at CEDIA this September
