Directv. Lovely picture, no audio issues. Haven't had any problems all season.

I'm watching the NFL Network RedZone on Comcast. No drone, just the usual 2 channel sound like all other NFL Network productions.

Sorry, have in all other complaints forgot today.

NFL RZ via Comcast Chicagoland. Was also getting some audio clipping on games.

Heard some audio choppiness early on, but it cleared up eventually. Still some major chroma problems with a lot of red and blue blobs on solid colored areas, but only on certain games. NFLRZ on FiOS.

Same audio clipping via U-verse. That was ridiculous.

Also watching NFL RedZone on Comcast. The digital audio is not 2 channel audio. It's 1 channel of audio, on the center channel. And it sounds lousy.

As for other NFL Network programs, they do have 5.1 for the live Thursday games this year, at a minimum.

How is the Red Zone channel on Dish? I was thinking about getting it but didn't know if it was only highlights or not. Do they actually show some of the games live/swith between them?

That would be appealing to me if a certain game I wanted to see wasn't being shown on my locals but was on at the same time and at least partially covered by NFL Redzone

They do switch between all the games as teams enter the red zone. If no one is in the red zone, then they show action from one game. Occasionally they go back and show key plays on a drive or highlights, but for the most part, it is constant live action from the various games. I personally love it for when the games go into OT and then my OTA game has to switch due to NFL rules. NFL Redzone pretty much stays with the game in OT unless there is a redzone opportunity or a large play in another game.

Awesome that's what I was wanting to know. So if I got this right, they show live actiion from one game, when noone is in the red zone (and its not just highlights but live action from said game)?

It's all live game or instant replay action all the time, from all different games. They don't stay with a single game for long.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but most football fans like it.

Especially the gambling and fantasy football fans!

Watched Red Zone on Directv yesterday for a good part of the day. Very good picture quality, in fact I A-B'd the pic. quality of a Fox game on RZ to the local Fox 11 on Direc and the RZ PQ was noticeably better, and the RZ feed has no delay. Andrew S. does a great job with a good sense of humor, without yelling at us. Direc DOES show everything in 720P even the CBS games BUT they appear to show them with full band-width and look very good....

Red Zone channel on Dish is the same NFL Red Zone that is available on Cable and Telco. It's pretty much just like the RZC that's on DirecTV only produced by the NFL with a different host. It's live action all day long unless all games are at commercials and they show a highlight or two. They will also cut in and show all scoring or big plays from other games if they happened while they were on a specific game. Basically if you had Sunday Ticket and could switch from game to game it's what they do only they control the remote.

I just got Redzone 3 weeks ago and my ADD brain loves it.

The Red Zone concept is awesome, I wish I had NFL Red Zone and not DirectTv Red Zone.

This is a big deal if you have a choice. The Direct TV Red Zone host, Andrew Siciliano is horrible. If he is the host next year I will not get the Red Zone.

Example as I was typing this... there was an interception.

His speech pattern and pitch has me constantly wondering if he is a robot and how he ever got a job doing this. The producer of Direct Tv Red Zone should be fired for picking Siciliano.

Couldn't disagree more. I've had both and I much prefer Siciliano as host to Hanson.

Having both Time Warner Cable and DirecTV, I had to opportunity to extensively compare the two versions of the Red Zone channel this past season. It was my first Red Zone experience since as we all know TWC didn’t carry NFL Network or NFL Red Zone until the end of September of this year, and in my previous two year stint with DirecTV (2004-2006), I did not subscribe to NFL ST and Red Zone wasn’t around at that time anyway. IMO, they are both excellent but I like the host on NFL Red Zone better. I’m not sure if DirecTV Red Zone does this as about 70% of my Red Zone viewing was on TWC, but I do not like when NFL Red Zone goes ‘Six Pack’. Too much action for too small of windowed screens to see what’s going on.

For a 6-8 weeks in the middle of the season I’d channel surf between all the games on Sunday Ticket while streaming NFL Red Zone on one tablet using the TWC Android app and I’d stream DirecTV Red Zone using the DirecTV Android app on my other tablet. It was football overload. It was awesome!!! Granted having a wall with 8 TVs mounted on it would have been better, but hey, this was the best I could do

I will definitely be subscribing to NFL Sunday Ticket next year, hopefully I can get Max for free again.

my favorite thing about red zone: virtually no breaks! watching a regular football game can be excruciating. cowboys score...it's kind of a close call so it goes "under further review" .....commercial........the score is good so extra point is kicked..... commercial.........kickoff.........commercial.........redskins receive the ball run a couple plays then two minute warning.......commercial! aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
