Do I need the nVidia kit to get 3d from my PC?

I have a nVidia GTX560ti video card and a 3d mitsubishi TV. Do I need to buy the nVidia kit to get 3D or do I already have all I need?

Depending on the model, you probably just have to buy the "3DTV Play" Software. I already had the "kit", which basically just recognizes the usb emitter that enables the 3DTV software. You will not need the kit for the glasses, you're going to use the glasses that come with the TV.

Here's the software:

Here's some reading for you:

Here's the link to see if your TV is listed and what driver to use:

You're card should be fine for playing 3d content and mild gaming along with 3d content on the web. Note they still haven't worked all the bugs out of 3dYoutube via FFox yet, but they are getting close.

Ok, now a couple real important tips:

Join the Nvidia Forum, and go here to ask some questions of people that can help you before setting up all the details. I got it to work fine on a Sony, but ended up going back to my monitors. Your max res on the TV is around 1/2 of a 1920 monitor, but still cool, especially on web and video.

Here's the Forum:

Go there and post some detailed questions about setting it up.

And MOST importantly, do a system image or complete backup. This is still new technology and odds are something will mess up.

In any case, have fun!
