Hi Bob, and thanks so much for all the reviews and comparison about the 3800, 4000 and 4500.
I was going to buy the 3800 last October and was reading all these threads. But finally did not need to upgrade my wifi network.
I'm thinking again to move to wifi N and I realize there is the 4500, with more antenna/radios and better "futur proofing". => Reading all again in these new topics.
We are using Apple products at home and I would like to know if the latest devices are still dual band? (latest macbook air and iPad2)
I could not find the info on Apple website, they only talk about wifi n. (don't know if it's N450, N600, N700, N900...)
I understood all the new features of the 4500, for better range, better signal, etc. But we are living in an appartment, it wont make a big difference.
And if the Macs/iPad are not using the 3 antenna capabilities, I might go with the 3800. (maybe a good thing to have the clear channel)
(here on Amazon the 3800 costs 96, where the 4500 is at 136. i'm not sure I need a router to be at the top for the next 3 years... and there's a difference of price.)
Thanks for your info and advice.
