Reverie Time, Troops
It has come to my attention that although a great many AVS'ers who have frequented the DIY Screen forum have tried Silver Fire and completed their projects, it's difficult for a questing DIY'er to locate specific testimonials by those people that address the strong points (...or weak points) of the application, as well as application ease (or woes).
Most will agree that after any good DIY Screen project is done. most everyone retreats to their Lairs and Caves to consume the fruits of their labors. And if that Fruit is sweet and fulfilling, most do not venture forth again...leastwise for a spell. Unless they are not Happy. Then...they make their presence known.
Although I see precious few such people posting (we work hard to prevent any reasons for doing so...) such justified diatribes, I'd like to request that anyone who has done a SF Screen and is willing to contribute back to the DIY Forum, that they would post a brief description (OK...as long as you like...but brief is OK too...) of their experience and the end results. If Screenies are provided, please post a few of your best only, with a brief Title / explanation of what is being shown.
Those who have recently done one of the latest versions... (v2.0 -v2.1 -v2.1HG) are especially asked to venture their opinions, as it is the latest versions where specific effort has been made to further reduce metallic-induced artifacts (speckles) or metallic "sparklies".
Please include the following info:

Be it a light version or a dark version, old or new, well done or a "oops" affair,
let's hear from as many of you as possible. Once. No repeats or follow ups beyond editing your original Post.
Don't ask questions requiring a response from myself, PB-Maxxx, or any other SF End User. This is the SF End User's Testimonial Thread
If your a Reader or Lurker only, and have not done...or in the least not honestly attempted a Silver Fire, please refrain from Posting any direct or indirecte response (ie: please don't post at all.) Let's keep this Thread a bastion and depository of Knowledge and experience gained through doing. You can always copy a Post's link and refer to it on your own/another Thread.
Everyone I can think of pretty much knows that the spirit that drives true DIY'ers (...beyond saving a Buck...) is rooted in both receiving and giving knowledge and assistance. I seldom outright ask anyone to contribute...it's an understood given.
But this thread will serve as a reference to help others easily adjudge to pros & cons of the Silver Fire experience, as comes from the people most qualified to dispense such without being looked upon a blatantly promoting SF for promotion sake alone. End Users.
So please...do contribute...and contribute what you feel best describes your overall experience.
