I couldn't find a particular thread on this, but I'm sure it has been asked numerous times. Are the new 2011 Panasonic 3d glasses backwards compatible with 2010 Panasonic tvs?

I would like to pick these up for my GT25.

You're referring to the new ty-ew3d3[xx] i presume?

I just got them with my GT20 (last years model) - yes they work - in fact true to their word, its lighter, charges in 20 mins and is more comfortable and the brightness is improved - 'Tron legacy' in 3d (a rather dark movie visual-wise, whose 3D i found very un-impressive in the theater) using these new glasses is incredible!

Thanks I was wanting to get a confirmation. I read a couple of reveiws and people have stated they are better than 1st and 2nd gen glasses, so I assumed they used all three glasses on the same tv. But then again some people buy a new tv every year.

I've been told a couple different things regarding the Panasonic glasses. From what I understand, the TY-EW3D2S/TY-EW3D2M/TY-EW3D2L are the older glasses and the TY-EW3D2SU/TY-EW3D2MU/TY-EW3D2LU are the 3rd gen glasses - is this correct? Or is there no difference between them?

Panasonic.ca lists the TY-EW3D2S series while Panasonic.com lists the TY-EW3D2SU series...

the TY-EW3D3xx models are the 3rd generation glasses. panasonic.ca only shows the small as last year's model.
