I bailed on this show 10 minutes into episode #1.
However I find it interesting that there is no actual thread for "Are You There, Chelsea?".
Surprisingly, it would appear that it is actually possible for there to be a WORSE show than "Whitney", and "Are YOu There, Chelsea?" is that show! Only took me 4 minutes into episode #1 for me to bail, delete the show, and delete my series recording. These two shows now rank, in my opinion, as perhaps the two worst shows on TV.
Ken Tucker agrees
"You'll think Are You There, Chelsea? is a pitifully unfunny show. It's so bad that it makes Whitney look like Seinfeld in its prime."
"In the end, Are You There, Chelsea? is a poorly produced and sloppily written sitcom that became stale and repetitive by the second commercial break of its first episode."
"NBC's obsession with handing out sitcoms to any female who can say 10 four-letter words in 30 seconds or less isn't even funny. First, there was Whitney and now Are You There, Chelsea? What next? Peeing With Snooki?
"As a sitcom, it's grim. In place of dialogue, we get one-liners. Set-up, joke, laugh track. Help! Hint: Spontaneous one-liners aren't funny if they're scripted. Hello?"
NBC sacrificed Whitney (4.3 million, 1.6) to the Idol gods, down 20 percent to a series low, followed by Are You There, Chelsea (4.3 million, 1.8), down 22 percent
Just awful. Both shows. Soon gone, I'm sure.
