Samsung TV

Hi all,
I have just purchased a new Samsung LED tv, and was just wondering if its common for the new TV's to accommodate audio analogue outputs?
My old TV was hooked up to my Hi Fi with analogue outputs (Red and White jacks), when trying the same set up with my new tv it is not working.
On closer inspection, the L and R outputs on my new TV i plugged my Hi Fi into looks like its for an input source like a video console but its not clear at all.
It appears i only have a digital output in which case i will need a digital to analogue converter.
Am i way of with this or is what im thinking correct?

I will be purchasing a surround sound system which i am told uses a HDMI type connection, but until then i wouldn't mind getting my old system back up and running.
Any help is much appreiciated!!

Sometimes there is a mini-plug cable adaptor that has an analog audio output, but you're right, if you look on the back and there is nothing labeled analog audio (L/R out), etc. then you're out of luck!

Welcome to the wonderful world of digital!
