splitting signal

Hello,

I currently have a Winegard HD8200U with a Winegard 8780 amp. I am interested in splitting the signal to a total of three connections. I am not sure where to plug in supply for the amp (before or after splitting). I also am not sure if I need a distribution amp with this configuration. I am mounted 20ft on conduit mast and approximately 75 ft from the furthest tv. I am 62 miles south of Chicago.

Thank you

The splitter goes after the preamp power supply. A cable will run from each of the splitter outputs to a TV. You will most likely not need a distribution amp. It would probably do more harm than good with the high gain amp you already have. Does the present setup work OK with one TV? If so then splitting will likely work also.

That's the right answer.

Yet if your situation doesn't allow a splitter after the preamp power supply, you can use a one port power passing splitter between the power supply and the preamp, but the configuration gets trickier.
