CIH or not? Pros and cons... - Page 4

I have an opportunity to build a new theater (moved) and have been reading about doing a CIH setup. My question is around the projector itself...does the PJ have to support CIH or are there special PJs for this? How does the PJ handle the different sizes?

All projectors can zoom, but you need a zoom ratio of 1.33 or greater, preferably a little more just to be sure you're outside of the range of tolerances and not using the extremes of the lens.

If you went the anamorphic lens route, then either the pj or an external scaler needs to be able to stretch the image vertically to remove the black bars encoded in the source. The A lens also needs to be big enough to work with the pj it's paired with, but usualy the manufacturer can tell you that if no one here can.
