I got tiered of waiting for my supplier to get me the optoma RF glasses, and ordered two pairs of VIP-3D dlp link glasses from consignia.com they work great . Nice to have 4 pairs of working dlp-link glasses for when my brother and his kids come over...
After less than 6 months, the battery on my Monsters is dead. I am now tethered to a USB power source whenever I watch a movie. Sucks. Any suggestions please?
Both have the same hint of Blue/Green tint to the lenses and almost mirror shiny finish. What this finish brings about are reflections. Reflections come from whatever is illuminated behind you. Even in complete darkness, whatever your TVs light output illuminates behind you, will be reflected on both. If your are viewing with a big screen (projector), this won't be an issue as your complete "field of view" (or the whole lenses) are filled with picture and you won't see reflections on either one.
That's not necessarily the case. I'm using the latest Optoma RF glasses with a 100" screen and the outside edges (towards my ears) pick up the reflection of the curtain behind me that is illuminated by the reflected light from my screen. It's quite distracting actually, and quite disappointing since they are pretty expensive glasses.
