Also, Willi The Kid's "Love for Money" has a 27Hz low note, Kush is My Cologne is around 23Hz-25Hz... Akon/Young Jeezy and a remake by Lil' Wayne ft. Tupac.. "Soul Survivor" doesn't dig quite as low but once you hear it you'll love it...check my thread for infra songs

So, are we talking about low frequency or high spl here? The two are pretty different....

Great suggestions so far. I guess I will have to go and join the spotify website now.

Krypto I will be starting my collection of ULF soundbytes next year. I found quite a few places that have amazing sounds. My Earthworks mic will finally get used and sometime next year my AEA R84 will be used also. But AEA is not for ULF but does go down to 20hz and can take a massive SPL beating.

I dont know if Yves Carbonne or Jean Baudin are on the list but I have always liked them. They have some recording in the Jazz style that have lots of content down low. Just a thought.

Interesting thread. Haven't followed this style of music for some years. I personally like DNB much better than DubStep, as I find it more interesting to listen to, but probably doesn't have as much bass in most occasions.

I first moved to NYC about 13 years ago and DNB was all the rage. I used to go every weekend with my friend to some cool undergrounds clubs (literally underground in the meat packing district, before the MPD became all chi-chi).

Well im not a massive dub fan (more psytrance) theres been a few bass and dub acts ive caught over the last year that simply cant not be mentioned

http://soundcloud.com/circuitbentobox/sets
Circuit Bent - One of the best dub acts ive heard these guys blew me away so unexpectedly at a festival deffinatly worth a listen (if nothing else around 7:30 & 28:00)

http://soundcloud.com/suninaquarius
Sun in Aquarius - One of the the best producers in australia IMO Aquadelic Experi-glitch bass music If that needs explaining you need to listen to SIA.

http://soundcloud.com/enigmatikrecords/sets
Enig'matik Records - An amazing label thats sprung out of nowhere over the past year or two Promoting all sorts of artisits falling under the dub, bass, glitch banner these guys have a knack for finding some increadibly unique artist's really pushing the boundry of sound and music an experimental mixture of bass and glitch they have quickly become one of my favorite labels

Heh that alll sounds like a bit of a slaes pitch but there just artisits (and one label) that ive seen over the past year that just stunned me deffinatly worht a listen

I like Going Quantum. If you "Like" him on facebook you can download a TON of songs for free, he has 23 podcasts that are 30-50 minutes long, and about 30 other tracks which are also good. He does dubstep, "liquid dubstep", Hard Electro, Drum and Bass, and hardstyle mixes, and has guestmixes too. Anyway, good stuff, and you can check it out for free. He does have a couple origional tracks "Hello" and "Fully Grizzly", he also has almost everything on Youtube if poor sound quality is OK with you.

Knife party - Internet friends

You will thank me. Some of the best bass I have heard on a track in a while. The harmonized bass is amazing as well.

Warning: it will get stuck in your head. BWEEP BWEEP BWEEEP BWEEPWEEEEOOOUUUU

oh and NSFW language in the first section

The new song Rack City has some nice low bass in it!!
My son introduced me to Skrillex a few months ago and it's a lot of fun for the subs. There's a few metal acts that those that love bass should check out.

OTEP......look on YouTube for Filthee........some of the best double bass recorded....ever
Spineshank.......came and gone a few years back, actually broke up while being nominated for a Grammy! Anything from height of callousness is worth a listen
Filter...Anything from Short Bus
Korn.....early stuff is loaded with ultra low string bass. This stuff can really help with identifying poor impulse response
Enjoy!

Just got to register and then a download link will pop up above the song. Follow that to a page that allows you to buy one song($1.75 320/kbps) or the whole album for $4.50

To add to the list of Dubstep, browsing Youtube, I found Varien & have been pretty impressed. Give it a whirl, and of course bump up the quality.

Dubstep: Varien - Throne of Ravens
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCX0iuGmWnM

Dubstep: Varien - Cloak and Dagger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPO8BZlPtVs

Drumstep/Moombahton Varien - Mirrors

Some of the other guys on that Monstercat channel are pretty good too.

Hey krypto whats that track.....theres a video I can't find but you may know the one I'm talking about. Some dude is playing a track through a diy tapped horn project with very little power on it. He says in the video he got the track he's playing from you. Walking around the house with windows doors and awning rattling. It's hard to hear on the vid but looks like waves real low ripple effects of his place. Hope not too vague

peace

ahh; lucky for chrome's history keeps that far back

here whats this track man

http://digitalsoundboard.rocdollar.com/. Harmonically mixed (using Traktor, I think) DnB. Very, very talented DJ with a unique style.

Puts up a new hour-long mix every month, complete with set list, so you can go and get any individual songs you like.

If you like dubstep you should check out dubstep.fm; they stream 24/7 and also have a ton of archives for download. Lots of the newer wobbly stuff with very heavy bass.
