Since there is no active thread of PMS speakers and also not one on MBL, I have decided to start this one myself.
In short:
I am looking for another amp that will not only save room space but also improve my current sound.
The facts 8 I have are now driven by PrimaLuna ProLogue 3 and 7s. But they do not deliver enough power and drive.
Although I like the sound of the tubes I miss the emotion and involvement in some type of music (I like almost any type of music: from Jazz to classic, from alternative to electronic).
I have already listened to a the Naim NAP 200 and Bryston 4B but both did not have the sound and involvement I was looking for.
Yesterday I have listened to the MBL 7008 integrated amp and really was impressed and liked the sound if it. Although it's not a tube it has the sound and dynamics I was looking for.
The only thing is that I could not try them with the PMC facts since the dealer did not have PMCs.
Any one has listened to this combo of PMC fact 8 and MBL amps and can share some of your subjective impressions?
PS: keep the posts nice and civilized please!
