This last episode was great. We thought Amanda was pissed before, but now that she found out what Victoria is (falsely) claiming were the circumstances regarding Charlotte's conception, we ain't seen nothin' yet!

One thing I really appreciate about this show is there is very little filler compared to other shows. Every episode is packed with scenes that really keep the story zipping along.

Yeah thanks to a DVR one can rewind a scene to make sure one really took in all that was there . L O L !

Which would make Charlotte her half-sister sister-in-law.

Too bad next week is a repeat.

I can't believe how much I enjoy this show andcan't wait for the next one.

I feel sorry for the Internet tycoon friend. Loyal to Amanda and her Dad but really conflicted by her over the top Revenge civilian casualties. He'll be disappointed yet again when he learns she want back on her word to return the ring. Man was she pissed when she heard the false story that her dad was a rapist. Loved the look on her face.

As others have said there's always lots happening each week in this show. No fillers. Similar to Justified in the rich interplay and constant new developments.

Too bad I have to turn in my man card for liking this show so much.

I too have to admit that I part with my 'man card' at 10p.m. PST Wed. evenings when a new episode is on. My wife and I both love watching this show and wholly concur with others here in the forum that this show is a great watch. The twists/turns of each episode are excellent, it's well-acted, and I just can't say enough about this show.

I thought the proposal scene was beautifully done. Can't imagine any female viewer disliking that.

In looking on ABC Medianet, the next new episode isn't until 2/8.

Man, what a great show. So much action, but they all seem reasonably natural flow of things. They don't seem overly forced or made up on the go. That is a very hard thing to do in a serial like this. Some fantastic writing happening here.

If there is a better drama on TV, I don't know of it...

This show is in my top 5 but I would put Sons of Anarchy, Justified, Southland and Hell on Wheels ahead of it. So I guess you could say it's the best "network" drama.

Revenge is my favorite guilty pleasure these days. Despite being more soapy than Days of Our Lives it is great fun and very exciting. The twists and turns in this week's show had me howling. The twist in which Daniel told Emily that his mother had told him she was raped by David Clarke was one for the ages. If Daniel was telling the truth, Victoria Grayson is a devious lady indeed.
Revenge is one of my favorite shows to watch for the fun, but (IMO) there are many more "better dramas" on that wouldn't even allow Revenge into the top 5. Some have been mentioned (Justified, etc) and you can surely add The Good Wife and several on premium cable. Still, I wouldn't miss Revenge and am sorry to see it's off until February.

Not so

There was a scene where he seemingly misunderstood his mother's statement that Clarke was the father. When he asked her for details she said she didn't want to talk about it and he got the impression that she was raped.

it was clear (to me at least ) that Victoria said just enuff to let her son run with idea that she was raped ...

Victoria has kicked the "Hornets Nest" with out knowing what she has done

Yep. That was my impression as well, although I didn't really grasp it until that latter scene which made it clear where they meant to go with her non-answer.

Even though I continue watching Revenge because I want to see where it's going I would definitely not put this in the same league as Justified.

If Victoria has said anything to the effect that she was raped, she did so to either:

1. Paint herself as a victim to gain sympathy. Being a victim of a convicted terrorist will gain more sympathy than being a cheating wife to one.

2. To protect her daughter, Charlotte for the same reasoning.

Victoria is using both reasons
#1 gets sympathy from her son
#2 a reason to protect & help with the divorce as a bonus

Another strong action packed episode last night. That is if you love soaps.

Ah, but it is a "glorified soap" with a bit more Star Power than your run-of-the-mill soap. And who can resist watching Emily as her plans at revenge unravel, leaving more plots and twists than a Sherlock Holmes tale.

On a side note, the PQ/AQ are quite exceptional, and this makes it all the more addicting!

Of course, I well remember Dallas, Dynasty and about two minutes of Falcon Crest!

So Revenge takes us to the engagement party next week.....is that where the season's going to leave us hanging, or are more episodes scheduled for this season? I can't believe how wrapped up in this show my wife and I are....gotta find out who took Amanda's box of secrets!

Faux Amanda took the box. she left a RSVP that she will be coming to the Engagement Party !
Seems that Amanda#2 wants some leverage against Amanda #1 ,
This brings us up to the point of the series premiere where the Grayson son is killed on the beach @ the Engagement Party for him & Emily .
this now begins a whole new phase to the series , as there is alot more Drama to come down the road about the murder
With new episodes till May. the show was picked up for a full run of shows this year, so the writers added alot to the the plot arcs & Yes the show will be back next year with a full allotment of shows ,It's a Huge hit for ABC ....

This is such trashy fun and I'm no longer ashamed to admit it. It's well done trash which just goes to show that trash or any other genre plays well when done well. The opposite is also (and more often) true.

How about Breaking Bad, your list is the same as mine with that exception.

Unfortunately I never watched Breaking Bad and I'm sure you can't just start and pick it up. I'll have to go the DVD route.

It's in my opinion better than Sons. It's a must see and yes it's serialized so you need to start from season 1. And please try it's well worth it.

For me that goes to The Good Wife. Revenue is the best soap. Multiple seasons (3?) of Breaking Bad are available on Netflix streaming.

At the Television Critics Association winter press tour, ABC president Paul Lee acknowledged that Revenge will likely move away from the Hamptons after season 1.

"I don't want to give anything away about a show that people are on the edge of their seats for, but yes, it is in the cards," he told TV critics.

Absolutely. She planted the idea in Daniel's head, it was definitely intentional.

Love the show btw. It has some soapy aspects but not anything along the lines of day-time soaps, give it some credit. Maybe more like Melrose Place, but smarter.
