Search this thread. If you're running your sources through an AV preamp or receiver, you can remedy the lip synch issues with the delay settings in the menu of the receiver.
Initially, the synch issues were most prominent with 1080p sources like blu-ray, or some movies purchased from DirecTv. After setting new delays, the problem went away. The only time there is now a lip synch issue is when you're watching, for example, a news show and there is a live feed from some remote location. Perhaps it has something to do with the picture-in-picture format that is characteristic of such live feed broadcasts, but that's a fault I can easily live with.
I'm pretty certain that it's the introduction of the AV receiver/processor that accounts for the lip synch issues, and if someone is simply watching this set with its internal audio, there won't be a problem. I'd guess it's likely that most people with this set do use a receiver/processor though. While the delay settings I'm referring to are in most of the competent receivers, I'm told that they're not in all receivers. I'd suggest that anyone shopping for a receiver to be used with this set, consider the ability to adjust the audio delay as a must-have among the feature set of receivers on your shopping list.
