This is my latest build.

A powered sealed sub basend on 2x21" Beyma woofer.
The plate amp is a powerful plate basend on Powersoft module (6500w total power on 8ohm)


This thing play loud and tight

you can't just launch in with that. more details on the build, process, application, etc. are required.

otherwise, you will just get a whole bunch of "wows".

I preferred Beyma 21" to most famous B&C because in my opinion works well in a sealed design. (a bit high qts value, same BL factor and less MMS)
The FR in anecoic chamber is quite better than 21" B&C speakers.

The cabinet is build with 38mm and 19mm MDF with heavy intenal bracing.

With a Linkwitz Transform the FR remain flat to a few HZ in a 30mq dedicated room.

The self made plate amp is the true heart of this sub, 3400w on 8ohm in bridge mode per amp module (one module amp paired wih one woofer).

I have in my config. two of this sub and one TCSounds LMS5400 loaded in 100Lt box, all managed with a 8x8 miniDSP kit.

How do you have the LMS and the 2 Beyma's setup? Like what frequency do they crossover at between each other?

All 3 sub have the LP filter set to 80hz, but the LMS5400 is set to work lower 30hz.

Yes, in my opinion this is one of the best sounding woofer ever made, 1600w rms, 3200 peak with 60mm xmec, 98db 2,83v.

how does the surround produce 60mm xmech? it doesnt look much bigger than my little emminence 10" surrounds

It doesn't. 10mm Xmax. The LMS 5400-18 will kick the snot out of it from A to Z. The LMS requires more power, so... pfft... get more power.

Looks like 15mm xmax. The 60mm rating is "peak to peak" (double xmax), a "X Damage" rating.

An 18" LMS 5400 has 75% more displacement than the 21" Beyma.

Dollar per liter displacement:

Beyma 21": $146 / L

LMS 18": $102 / L

Proportion. It does not look like it but that is 21" subwoofer. It is a lot bigger than what it looks like.

The surrond is 40mm!!!
I don't know your 10" eminence, but I think that haven't surrond like this....

It does very well, 15mm xmax with linear escursion and 60mm xmech p-p.
This is normal with pro woofer.
Of course the LMS5400 is a great woofer that have a big linear excursion (38mm) and 90mm xmech p-p, there's no doubt!

Powersoft is one of the finest italian electronic company and I'm italian too

I think threre's also a U.S. dealer.

That amp module looks very similar to the PWR-DSP1 Im about to test this weekend!!

Mine is the MiniDSP PWR-DSP1 with Pascal Modules and peak power of only 4000Watts @ 4 ohms.

Very nice build!!

FWIW, we can EQ any design flat to 10Hz...remember the ULS-15 Flat to 10Hz BS

What is important is actually knowing Max clean Output and not EQed flat responses at 75dB to 90dB levels.

Again, nothing against the build, the OP has his requirements and its an awesome solution but we just need to understand the numbers better before we post "very impressive".

Back to the important POV...Nice MinidSP build too!! Damn good work overall.

I know Pascal module and is a good module,
Powersoft module is a bit different and a bit more powerful, the DIGImod3000 series directly derive from K series, you know?

It's the same platform. they released software to address the problem, but I'm trying to get them to add the same filter setup for shelf filters instead of just the peak filter

They don't like to respond to me too much

At this time I don't need eq below 20hz (I don't use "eq sub peak"), in my opinion 8x8 miniDSP kit is a good EQ, not perfect, but a good eq.

what inaccuracies found Notnyt?

First, great build. MORE PICS.

Now, how do they get the 15 mm spec? It's an overhung, 35 mm long coil, 14 mm tall gap. How do we get 15 mm overhang from those specs?
