I'm really suprised that the TWC CSR you talked to was clueless... (sarcasm laid on as thick as possible)...
Anyways, i'll try to give you some better information about TWC HD offerings:
Currently we get the following channels for free:
(Supposedly ESPNHD will be added any day)
the best way to go to get all the HD offering for the cheapest price is to get the Digipic 2000 package. It includes 2 premiums (I obviously chose HBO/SHO), their respective On Demands, and a choice of HD, Value, or Sport tier for $59.95, this pric also includes a box.
The actually HDDVR box is a SA8010 with pioneer passport software, but on the box itself it says it's a SA8000, (i know it's actually a SA8010 through talking to TWCWOH network engineer, i'm sure it's just a minor revision or something but he has always referred to it as 8010).
The HDDVR does not have an OTA hookup on it. The only station we don't get is WDTN NBC HD via TWC (which i pull in through my OTA box and an indoor antenna)...
The HDDVR has been an absoulte pain for people to get, I was very active in trying to pursue it and know when it came out, so i was in contact with the network engineer and the marketing director for this TWCWOH. Currently i only know of 4 boxes that are out in the field: I have one, my father has two, and mlbUC has one. Other people on here have said they've been unsuccessful in their attempts of getting one, but the best way to get one is to go into the main office in Kettering and place your order, because the people that work the desk actually know what they are talking about. Just mention that you know people that do have them. There is also a SD offereing of the SA8000 (and i think a newer revision 8010) as well.
Also i've found the quickest way to get a person at TWC is to call 18004252225, the extentions you need to dial at the prompt are: 1-0-3-2
after that you'll be on hold to talk to a real live Clueless Customer Service Rep (CCSR
