Maybe a bit pricier, for a man cave, consider a SVS, PB-1000 or a SB-1000. Maybe a Rythmik, LV12R?
Any recommendation is going be dependent on sound quality expectations. Personally, I find many of the smaller 8" and 10" subs fall woefully short of the subwoofer load one expects of their subwoofer system.
Regarding the RW-12d, one does not need to turn it up loud. In my opinion, if considering a RW-12d, when properly integrated into a room's acoustics, overkill isn't a consideration.
If for a room that size, one is considering less expensive choices, one would be well served by a pair of Dayton, Sub1200's from Parts-Express.
