I wouldn't write off Newegg just yet; they have listed the RW-12d as discontinued in the past, and then they mysteriously get a new shipment. If you can wait a week or two they may show up again.

Yeah, waiting with hope that they will have some stock again and I get to buy it. But in case that does not happen.

Anyone have suggestions on a 10" sub under $200 for a small bedroom? I have the BIC F12 for my HT and it's awesome but I'll need something a bit smaller for my bedroom that can fit under my computer desk.

I think the BIC Venturi V1020 and Dayton Audio SUB-1000 are currently in the running right now but I'm open to suggestions.

This is a 12" but you could move the f12 to the bedroom and get an upgrade to the f12 for only another $30

BIC H100II

This JBL SUB150P subwoofer has been on sale for under $200 a few times. You might check when you are ready to buy.

Also watch Velodyne's special offers page. They occasionally have a model or two for under $200.

I think this has helped me make up my mind. I used to have the ct-150 and loved it. It was plenty loud. Can't believe the nxg put out numbers this high.

Those are interesting numbers. Where were they posted? smile.gif

Nxg - http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/blog/2013/07/15/review-nxg-nx-bas-500-subwoofer page 2

Bic and velodyne - http://www.data-bass.com/data?page=systems

I question the first ones results. Data-bass is well trusted. I question the whole setup on the nxg, but they say they followed cea--2010a

Standard CEA 2010 is 1m measurements. Ricci uses 2m. So add +6db to the data-bass measurements to compare them to CEA 2010 at S&V.

Or would it be the same to minus six from s&v's? That would be quicker.

The NXG numbers still look pretty good.

From these measurements, if I didn't already have a sub that I like, I'd be considering the NXG especially for the money.

Is this correct? I'm not a newbie, but compared to a lot of you guys I'm a novice.

A 15" sub vs a 12"? Might not be apples-to-apples, but I'll be interested in your assessment. What BA subwoofer do you have?

Just posting to let any potential NXG BAS 500 buyer know that the dust cap on the cone fell off my Subwoofer after less than 1 hour.

Here is more detail in the Budget subwoofers discussions, opinions and questions thread

Happy to report sub arrived in perfect condition, with the dust cap glued completely around. Went into break in mode with it this evening. Will report more after a few days, and resetting MCCAC.

Just wanted to let you guys know I ordered a Velodyne DEQ-8R to pair with my NHTs at my computer. Spent a lot of time researching, but I wanted something smaller, and this sub offers a lot of great features. I will post a review here when it arrives this week and let you know what I think.

For $20 more you can get the BIC PL-200 from www.acousticsounddesign.com with an offer. I think that would be a worthwhile upgrade.

My new Velodyne arrives today! biggrin.gif

That's what I ended up ordering after I could not find an NXG anywhere, spent a lot of time searching various sites/eBay and everywhere is listed as out of stock. I just hope my PL-200 ships soon. Waiting sucks! I can't wait to ditch the 8" HTIB sub i currently have.

That's what My UPS is for. So you can get text messaging alerts once the package is delivered, even when not at home smile.gif

I have an app on my phone that you can use to track packages from any carrier. It's simply called TrackChecker, you put in the tracking number and it automatically determines what the service is. From then it simply pops up with a notification any time a package moves. Works really well for me on USPS, FedEx, UPS.

I am hoping to get a tracking number today, ordered the sub on Wednesday.

That's even better. smile.gif

And of course, after posting that I get the tracking number. Next Thursday it should be delivered, I am hoping UPS manage to get it to me by Wednesday though. My wife works Wednesday evenings... wink.gif
