Anyone have any luck getting it to work, reading back it seemed like this was an issue other people were having as well.

I have tried numerous HDMI cables, bitstream or PCM, Control ON and OFF. Factory Reset. Still can't get it to light up on either side.
lets see 1st...PQLS only lights on the sc 57..not the 52...

2nd..you have to set the audio output on the 52 to bitstream..and (hdmi control on)... both units... am not sure why you cant get pqls to work ..or it may be working and you are not aware of it..you will only see the pqls light on the sc57 not the 52 ...when you pop a dics in the pqls light comes on then goes off in very small text on the sc57...look carefully ...

I also vaguely remember an update when I first got my 52fd over a year ago that addressed pqls issues. Is your players firmware up to date?

Hope this hasn't been posted yet...set your quick start to off and it should work. I had the same issue with mine and it worked after doing said proceedure.

So, PQLS is working fine.

I was in THX Mode and apparently it won't work in there. I changed to direct mode and it works everytime. Interesting, I think, but happy it works.

I can say for the greta price I payed for this at Best Buy on clearance, its fantastic, except for an issue here and there streaming thru DLNA, and they I just have to turn it off and back on. Picture quality on .MKV is awesome. I ahve a pretty nice HTPC with a $350 video card and the Pioneer blows it out of the water. Really happy with this unit.
