I noticed that.
My HD (Comcast) broadcast was very good....really brought forth the fancy lighting and colors.
Additionally, the show's CGI (I saw) was excellent (nicely detailed).
After watching this episode, I have a couple of impressions.
Firstly, this series is definitely inspired by the CW's show: Supernatural.
In some respects, kind of a PG-rated version.
Beyond the PG vs. R-rated thing, the differences are more stark.
Supernatural has more humor and a meatier storyline; of course, it has been around a lot longer and has built upon a deeper development period.
Although Grimm's actors are competent, the performances of the 2 leads do NOT compare (again, Supernatural is a much more
mature series).
Noticed a few mistakes too.
The initial auto accident scene....
The car that hit the woman was removed
well before the body.
Wrong.
In spite of being many hours after incident, the victim's body wasn't covered when our dudes came to investigate.
Wrong.
The guy "hired" for surveillance was as obvious in his task as a pimple on the nose.
The "gas" thing was completely telegraphed, we knew our cop guy would succumb to its influence when he made it into the house.
Supernatural would NOT have made those mistakes.
Nevertheless, the series has potential and I'll stick with it...for now.
Also, nice to see the series kinda shows off the Portland, Oregon vibe (< an hour from my home).
