'Grimm' on NBC HD - Page 14

So far, all we've been told is that the Captain is some type of royalty. His status seems to give him some sort of fear/respect from those who know who (or what) he really is. At times, we have seen the Captain go out of his way to protect Nick(Grimm), as if he is protecting a key player in some overall scheme that is yet unknown to us.

We don't really know what is going on in regards to their plans for Hank. These are just some of the things that have yet to be revealed to us, the viewers. Although, it seems like they are taking their sweet time developing the story, we're just going to have to hang in there and see what happens.

I hope this helps a bit.

Thanks very much, it helps a great deal. I guess we haven't missed as much as we thought!

Really enjoyed tonite's episode...may be the best so far.

We're starting to get to the meat of the matter regarding the Cap'n and his motivations....

The Captain made a comment a couple of episodes back something like "the way to get to a guy is through his partner".

The comment was really easy to miss, but for those that didn't miss it we've known that he's trying to use Hank to get to Nick for a couple of episodes. But we didn't know it was about the key until last night and we still don't know why the key is important.

It appears the key has something to do with Great Power.
Power for peace or Power for war...hard to say at this point.

I thought the key printed a map (or portion) as well.

Agreed. This is one of the many procedural/serial hybrid shows where the serialized elements are interesting, while the procedural elements leave a lot more to be desired. Hopefully they continue to advance the main story for the duration of the season.

Aww... and here I was hoping it had to do with Great Justice.

It was good to see Nick finally grow a pair and kick some ass. And who doesn't want to have a few beers and talk about Hexenbiests with Monroe?

Great Power ALWAYS trumps Great Justice....

If I were Nick, I'd be transfusing some of my blood into hypo darts...just in case. Juliette will be having some comments on his bitten lips if he keeps this up. Poor Adalind, kicked to the curb and powerless...wonder if she turns into an ally now.

That really is a good idea.

I dunno, but I DO know I want to see more of her....

I imagine she still has some role to play, although I wouldn't be surprised if the writers try to fake us out by ignoring her for the next few episodes, only to bring her back in the season finale.

They probably needed to reduce the payroll [Is my cynicism showing?].

She has been on the last several episodes of Harry's Law. I don't know if they plan on making her a regular.

That's what I am thinking. We shall see. From not liking the woman to feeling sorry for her in one episode

Secondly, Juliette and Nick's relationship is so void of any semblance to real human relationships it's almost an accomplishment. Why are they on such good terms after she rejected him? Why is Nick not upset? I know he told Hank he was, but that was a blatant cover for him being upset over Adalind. Now, I'm no proposal expert, but saying no to one, even if it's not a dating deal-breaker, isn't something you shrug off. But apparently it is in the Grimm-verse—or maybe it is for the breathtakingly awful Nick/Juliette duo.

Saw this and agree.

The ratings for this show keep increasing which is a good thing.

Yeah I was expecting a scene with Juliette about the bitten lip... how do you explain that to a girlfriend.. LOL

How did they explained to Morgan the bedroom scene? LOL

She was on most of the episodes of Franklin & Bash on TNT last summer. I would expect her to be back this summer.

Getting better and better! Love where the mythology is going with this!
I really enjoyed this latest episode of Grimm. I like where they're going with it. I wonder when Nick will put the pieces together and realize his Captain is not who he appears to be? Also, since the beginning I've wondered about Juliette. They sure want you to believe there's more to her than meets the eye.

A well written episode with some real tension and a clever assassin. The mythology is still vague.

Reveals:

7 Noble Houses each entrenched in the real world and vying for power within the Wesen world. Probably more Eurocentric or Old World, but with representatives spread globally. This says to me that Renard is in somewhat of a backwater, fairly far down the food chain, but he's ambitious and territorial...a big fish in a small pond and he'd like to change that.

The Varrek are like the Gestapo for the Noble Houses.

The Houses play power games that upset the rank and file Wesen. They are also similar to the Iluminati...secret masters of the world type folks.

There's a resistance. There's always a resistance .

Grimms have allied themselves (in the past?) with the Noble Houses. Perhaps to keep the balance, perhaps for protection.

The Reapers are evidently a breed/faction of the Wesen that doesn't always obey the Royals. Grimms are their natural prey, but I imagine they are general badasses that aren't well regarded by the rank and file Wesen either. I guess next week we'll see more of that developed.

So, we're getting a picture and it looks pretty interesting. Lots of story fodder for the serialized long story arcs.

I might be in the minority here but....

The 7 house's plot line is a REAL turn off for me. I'm sick of world domination plot lines, and all that goes along with it - especially this early in the series. Much prefer how Supernatural did it, first season or two relatively low key, then build into the major arc with the end of the world.

At this point there is too much lore I'm not sure of, various factions and how they all interact. lets explore the Portland aspect before we go world wide.

I was under the impression he already was aware of that.

Good analysis...my thoughts too.

Really? Even in this latest episode when the assassin was talking to the Captain about the Grimm being an asset, the Captain said he (Nick) doesn't know who he (the Captain) really is. I've been under the impression that Nick is slowly putting the pieces together.

Sorry, my confusion.

I missed some of the early episodes and haven't been able to catch up...

Unless the Captain is very good at keeping his emotions in check, I'm not sure yet if he is even a Wesen. So far none of them have been able to hide what they are to Nick, but the Captain somehow has.

I'm sure that reveal will come in the season finale. Renard kind of gave it away at the assassin's body dump when they were discussing Ian's disappearance. He said something like he's likely to be hunted down by someone else to Nick. That would have setoff a bump in my trouble bone. Of course, Nick's pretty dense about some things.

IMO, that's another problem with the show...it's kinda hard to believe.

Looks like Nick has got the start of his Scooby Gang. I still wished he had some sort of power like super strength or some sort of magic besides just being able to see the Wesen and secret sauce in the blood. I find it hard to believe that he can defeat these 'beasts' with just his cop training.
