'Grimm' on NBC HD - Page 29

Since they aren't running the Fall finale as a refresher, I regret not saving it on DVR.  I had to go refresh my memory, but then realized it was a memorable cliffhanger, after all.  I'm ready.

FYI that the entire season so far is up on Hulu if anyone wants to catch up.

I haven't seen much advertising on Grimm returning (although we don't watch any other NBC shows), only reason I knew it was back was it showed up on the DVR a couple weeks ago.

^^^ Me too. I was checking to see if Cult was set at its new time and there was Grimm...And if memery serves me well I think the Juliet-Captain storyline is supposed to climax shortly after the show returns.

Of course, they've scheduled it opposite Touch. At least it isn't competing with Fringe any more.

The last episode we saw. Took me a few paragraphs to figure out who "Eddie" was, hasn't he always been called "Monroe" on the show?

Yep.

Silas Weir Mitchell ... Monroe (34 episodes, 2011-2012)

Wasn't this show canceled? smile.gif I remember watching it when I was a kid. Long time ago.

Well, Grimm is actually in the same timeslot it's always been on Friday so Touch is kinda scheduled against it.  :)   Touch looks like it's going to be cancelled anyway, ratings are really bad, even for Friday.

Grimm's ratings this year were higher than last year, so NBC being NBC, it makes sense they would hold them off the schedule for about 5 or 6 months while all their hits got traction.

All part of their masterplan to go from 1st to 5th in the ratings...

Yeah, I'm having trouble remembering what was happening too.

I thought it was a great episode to kick off the season. Adalind is still smoking hot, you know, for a Hexenbiest.

Agreed!

Please don't think about cancelling this show now as this just got really good. Looks like battle lines are fully formed now.

I'm guessing Juliet will have to be brought into the fold now too unless for some reason she forgets everything again after Nick removes the spell. Oh, and the pregnancy will be what gives Adalind the ability to change again.

Yep, pretty entertaining ep. Whenever, they get close resolving something, I get intrigued. So Cap is out in the open deciding to come clean and hopefully ally with Grimmster...if he survives the pureification biggrin.gif. Julia can't be left in the dark and longer, can she? Adalind's preggers (I don't think she regains her powers, but she certainly has gained some over the Captain). Now what's the Captain's play or Nick's? An uneasy truce/alliance is probably how it will work out. Don't see Nick forgiving about his aunt...not right away at least.

But if she does not get a bit of Hexenbeast back from the child, how will she now be safer for carrying a 1/4-Blood Prince? Captain Renard may be swayed, but she already knew he was not a real threat to her. The remaining royals seem more like the "kill the bastard before he becomes a threat" type than "sentimental old you", although they might want more leverage against Captain Renard.

Mixed feelings on that episode. I mostly liked it, but it took too much of turn toward soap opera themes of who's sleeping with whom and who's knocked up for my taste. I'd rather have a monster of the week then have Grimm turn into a reboot of Dark Shadows.

I was pretty disappointed with the Captain's reveal. He is Royalty after all. I expected some grandiose character, but it just looked like someone with leprosy. Quite the let down after taking so long to show it.

While they've never really talked about the ramifications, it was briefly discussed that he's half hexenbeist. Which concludes that he's a bastard...a royal bastard, but still not completely "of the blood". We've already seen him change once before. Who knows maybe "true bloods" don't change at all or into something completely different. Also, in one of his French conversations last night, it seems as if he has ties to the resistance. I'm thinking Renard has been planning a coup for quite awhile.

Was it when he went through the "purification"? I don't remember seeing him change before. If that was it, that explains it, because I would have thought those were just "impurities" leaving his body, not his actual character.

Some other good insight as well. I guess I need to pay closer attention! biggrin.gif

Yep, when he dosed himself he went through the change a couple times. I believe the rest of it I got from conversations he had with Adalind during the last episode before the break. Some of it also may have come from her mother before she exited via Grimmom.
My DVR recording ended as Nick was lying on the shop floor turning red. Was there another scene after that? I get the feeling I missed something.
Yes. you did miss something.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

In a hotel in Vienna, Adalind was holding a pregnancy test, which I think was postive, and she was smirking.
