I updated my three Xboxes around 10:15 last night. After the update I had an issue where I couldn't log in on one of the boxes, but after a few minutes I was able to get back on. Then I tested out Kinect and watched some Netflix and other sources for a while.

Kinect worked very well in controlling my navigation and selecting, starting, stopping, pausing, etc. content.

I could not get Epix to work though.

Mine were outputting RGB for all the content I looked at last night. I never saw it switch to YCbCr for anything like it used to. My boxes are set to switch based on source.

hey i got on 1 xbox ok but the other 1 keeps asking for a password what password does it want i tried the 1 for the gamertag didnt work now what ?

It's asking you for your Windows Live Id and Windows Live ID password for the gamertag.

I am not sure if this is new, but I accidentally pulled up Window's Media Center last night. Normally, it would only work if I had it running on my laptop, but it connected without Media Center running.

ok im on my way to the pawn shop when i get back il have 2 brand new ps3's im done with this crap





they sure messed up everything with this update any way to get back the old dash ?

You usually needed WMC running on the laptop for the Xbox WMC to work?

Like I said this may not be new, but I have run into errors where it could not find WMC unless I had it running already.

Interesting but not surprised. A long time ago I recall having to have the Zune software running or it wouldnt connect for me or I had to be signed in, but for awhile now its been working without having to do all those things. WMC on the Xbox does seem to be moving smoother now..at least last night. Hopefully it remains that way.

so I was in the dashboard preview, I didn't have to update yesterday but I did have to agree to new tos and I still have a preview channel, weird

maybe that's why they had live connection problems last night, maybe they need to update everyone to be on same dashboard

Same thing happened to me where it would not log me in to live. Turns out I had to agree to the new Xbox live terms of agreement, but the only way I found to bring that screen up is to try to login to the app store..... Then the new terms will pop up and you have to click "accept".

Kind of a mess so far, but I do like the new look. Kinect integration is cool, but who really cares, it is so much easier to use the controller. The best part is the voice activated Bing search, that is very cool and works really well.

Are you still trying to update the other 360? I was waiting for the update on my 3rd 360 under my wife's gamertag. When I took my thumb drive and went to my account the update pushed. My other 2 were already in the beta. I logged into the one on my computer desk and logged in this morning just fine before work.

One small annoyance for me is that my Logitech remote doesn't have a Start button equivalent, and ESPN now seems to require that to get out. Lucky for me I have a Kinect for voice control (no room to play games) and THAT worked to Go Home.

Any idea of what content won't be available via Time Warner Cable beyond the obvious FIOS-branded stuff? I installed the Epix app and I'm not sure why it isn't working...

Considering how many of these updates Microsoft has done in the past, I would think this would have gone a little more smoothly. Massive amounts of network traffic should not be a surprise to them, and the changes which were made don't appear to have been as exhaustively tested as they should have been. Considering the Xbox 360 is now billing itself as a video viewing device, color space issues in particular are inexcusable at this point.

I fully expect you to follow through with the pawn shop since you have stated you are doing it twice now. No need to try to get it back to the old way since you will have PS3's. The informative content you provided will be missed. At least you will have a blu ray player......

I agree 100%. This pisses me off to no end. It is the only app that you cannot exit by pressing the B button.

Worked just fine on my Harmony remotes. I used the menu button and it brought up the same thing if you had pressed start on your controller to give you options which includes exiting ESPN.

Even if your menu button isn't working like your start buttion doesn't mean you can't customize it for the remote for whatever button you want it for.

I couldn't sign in as of last night but one thing that does seem interesting is that I can have 1 Live gamer profile on 2 xboxes and I dont have to move a USB key back and forth with my profile anymore. Only condition is only one can be signed in at a time but that is cool with me...

because for us in the beta dashboard program, we're still going to be testing apps that have not been released to the public.

i was part of the beta so I'm not sure if that made a difference but I had zero issues last night. I downloaded the apps, they all worked, had no log-in issues, and played MM just fine.

It's a bummer so many had problems. Regardless, in the grand scheme of things, all of these hiccups are not that big of a deal, right? No one died, the world didn't end, and your girlfriend didn't break up with you as a result...so all is good in the world.

MS will iron out these issues soon if they are not already.

Update looks nice. It also seems like they did something to the Color Space/Display Settings. Anyone else feel the dash got a little brighter. Almost as if the Gamma in the Color Space got a bump?

No I don't believe it is. Much like HBOGO you need to subscribe to the service to use it. HBO tried to get independant subscriptions for its service, but it was quickly shot down by the cable companies.

With Epix you need either a subscription or a cable company that has it. Time Warner/Brighthouse doesn't so it's of no use to us .

Oh damn is that what happened?
Even if they offered it how much would it be stand alone? I mean I pay $13 but I also have Cinemax for Max Go but it packages out.
