Mostly I'm not going to watch video on a console. I used to complain about the noise; my launch-model 60GB PS3 is still pretty noisy, but not my Xbox S. Now, all of the stuff that you can watch on the Xbox that I'm interested in (other than Zune Video) can be played on other equipment that I have which draws less than 10% of the power of even the Xbox Slim (the Roku 2 XS draws about 2 watts and is the most capable Netflix player that I own, with 1080p video, bitstreamed DD+ 5.1 sound and closed caption/soft subtitle support.

The chatpad takes that billon times easier out of the equation
. I have a slim on the same display(Samsung 46" LED 7000) as my computer and video seems similar on both as well. Having a chatpad for my other slims away from the computer brings that advantage for all the other rooms with Slims on them. Because everyone in my household enjoys using Youtube and now don't have to get on their computers and enjoy it from their couch like they do with Netflix and Hulu +.
