My gripe about BF2 was that but spawning with Rocket Launchers always was unlimited, making the vehicles nothing but deathtraps. If you were in a tank/hummer and you survived more than 60 seconds you were pretty good (keep moving).
So they sell the game in advertising as "Yeah, you and all your squad can spawn in a vehicle and transport to the action!, then you can progress as a group and attack the targets!".
But the reality is as soon as you piled into a vehicle, you'd be dead unless you drove like a crazed madman anywhere on the map, you'd get in a truck and drive as fast as possible and then all bail out because there was always a rocket heading your way from a helo, a ground trooper, etc.
The games were maddingly fast paced like that...also, you'd have a vehicle with a heavy MG on it, but if you tried to use it you'd be killed immediately....big guns like that should be fearful, but if you saw a guy in a turret he was just a waiting target....the guns were so inaccurate.....
It was nice idea but the execution was always kinda "meh" to me.....and forget about anything in the Modern Warfare category...
