"Windows Media Center is dead"
Really? Again.... source?
I think people are just tired of your 'sky is falling' posts in a thread that's nothing about that. Perhaps you should go post in an Xbox One thread or take some deep breaths and wait to freak out until we know what the specifications are actually going to be. If you're that freaked out just keep your Xbox 360. Problem solved. Sheesh.
They also made no mention of in-game party chat and demonstrated Skype so naturally your reaction is that that function is now dead too, right? Doubtful.
Get a grip.
First off, I was being sarcastic about a Sony product carrying a Microsoft product. Sorry, I thought that was obvious.
Windows Media Center is dead. Google it, do a little reading. I don't need to source it for you. It's been known for years now. It's an add on to windows 8 pro. Not only is it not being updated, but it has had functionality removed from it. They are no longer certifying peripherals. No longer developing. You can be upset with me all you want, but it's simply the truth.
Edit: Please explain to me why a WMC extender would need a box with an HDMI out?
1. Supported television tuner or cable/satellite set top box with HDMI output and HDMI cable required (all sold separately).Edited by nerdkill - 5/22/13 at 1:39pm
