Denon AVR-588 No Right Side Front Sound

I have this Denon AVR-588 receiver which I use in my travel trailer. Worked fine till now. I have no sound from right front on the A side speaker setting, so I thought that wouldn't be too big of a deal, I'll just connect my speaker wires to the B side. No sound there either!!

A basic question: does one amp (the same amp) power the right front for both A and B sides? If so, is there a work around? or is it time to buy a new receiver? I have heard of fix/repair prices START at $150, true?? No, no warranty now. Bought it as a refurb at ECost.com couple of years ago.

First try resetting the microprocessor as listed in your Owner's manual. The Front A and B speakers are connected to the same amp in parallel. If no joy, time for a new AVR as repair would likely cost $200-$300. Last year's models are on clearance at Best Buy stores at great prices. You can compare the new xx12 models by reviewing post #2 in the Denon xx12 Owner's thread linked in my sig.

Thanks for the info. I had already reset the processor and suspected it was time for a new receiver.

Perhaps you could suggest one of the XX12 receivers for me. I just have a BluRay player (Panasonic dmp-bdt110P) and a Samsung TV/monitor (forgot the model) and like I said, it's in the trailer. That's all I have/need. Other than damage from bounding, the other likely possibility is theft, so don't want an expensive one.

If you dont care about the room correction software maybe the inexpensive Denon 1312 is all you need.

You might be able to find a closeout Denon 591 at best buy for the same price or less. Check there first.

Visit your local area (or one in another city while on your travels) Best Buy and pick up the lowest level model (Denon or otherwise) from last year that is on clearance.
