I did play most 3D iso and they all work great except for Rio 3D .iso. Somehow this movie 3D effects is a little off and it gave me some eye strain.

Glad it wasn't just me !

Rio 3D requires inverting the sync - only title I have noticed this on so far.

How the heck do you do this?

Same issue with Cars 2 starting with the Spanish credits. Toy Story 3 only plays in 2D for me.

I got 'Toy Story' to play in 3D using BD 1.0 mode, but like you said, Spanish credits playlist for all these Disney/Pixar animated titles.

Great to have several more of you now posting impressions and workaround!

Inverting the sync depends on your display, or maybe your emitter. I am using the Optoma HD33 which has an option in the 3D menu to invert sync.

Only saw the Spanish credits with Cars 2. Other Disney/Pixar titles were ok - so far - think I tried most of them. Could not get Toy Story 3 in 3D in any mode.

I wonder what logic the HiMedia is using for the playlists. If it is choosing the longest playlist then that would explain what you are seeing with Toy Story (There are 3 playlists, one all English, one with Spanish Credits, and one with French credits, the Spanish and French playlists have a slightly longer timecode by less then a minute)

Whichever logic, user needs to be able to select the right playlist. Think it is the longest. I made the same mistake when I first ripped my 2D version BD a while back. In the case of these Disney/Pixar 3D BD's, those whose native language is Spanish may be perfectly happy. But, for the rest of us, don't see any way around than having playlist select support added as guesswork will only be just that.
Hi there I do not have 1 but I have a suggestion for 3d playlists.

First off either rename the playlist to the one you want. or delete the wrong ones and see if the media player can play the correct one then.

You may have to rip to folder to do this though. Just a thought.

Is it possible to just rip to folder and grab a single m2ts file that's the correct 3D version, or if multiple m2ts files, combine them via tsMuxeR? Then, just play that off USB or server?

Is it even an m2ts? Looking at my Avatar 3D disc the file type is SSIF

As of right now, there is no s/w that will let you do a movie only in 3D of the 3D Blu-ray. I await for that day. Editing the mpls won't work. But if you can understand the index.bdmv or MovieObject.bdmv with multiAVCHD or BDedit
to remove the Disney 3D notification upon the blu-ray load up or choose which mpls to startup, then you might be able to fix things. I tried this, and its a foreign language to me. Somewhere in the above files might even be the Profile 1/2/5 detection too. But I gave up on messing with that too. Only from my limited research via google of the blu-ray Profile 5/3D Blu-ray, do I know that the MVC/SSIF (Strereoscopic Interleaved files) do still need the corresponding .m2ts files in order to play back in 3D. Also, the .mpls need, of course, the m2ts files and the CLIPINF files. Although, XBMC (Mac OS X) will read and play the index.bdmv of the main movie. So I don't know if HiMedia900B is reading the index.bdmv or the mpls?

Any ideas ?

Thx

I just found a problem:

Added some files to the HDD through the network connection.
Files showed up on the HDD, but once the machine has been turned off and on again, the added files disappeared from the HDD.
Does anyone else have this problem ?
Thx

Nope still the same. The filesystem is in NTFS in case you wonder, so it should be able to read the content. Take note that when I put the external HDD into the HD900B HDD bay (open the hood), it is able to recognize my HDD and all the content played perfectly. Hence there is nothing wrong with my HDD or the the type of fielsystem used on the HDD. Question is how come it doesn't recognize the external USB HDD docking station? I know the docking station is working fine as it is able to read the HDD from another media player - PCH C200. Again this only shows that the docking station is working fine...initially I thought it was the problem with my USB cable but changing several ones also yield the same problem.

I'm at my wits end.

I have tried last night but I found that H900B never start when I tried to play the folder.
I still have the problem with Cars 2.

PROBLEM PROBLEM PROBLEM
Weird problem that I found is that if you connect to the internal HDD of the H900B throught network you can use as mapped drive
BUT
after restart of the H900B all the modification I made on HDD are lost and the files/folders come back to the original state (like a time machine) even if I delete files, create folders and copy inside files...
Anyone find the same problem?

I found also the same if I delete a file through the software of H900B (in files mode) it seems to be deleted but when I restart the H900B I found the file back...

EDIT: same problem as user Houyanghui

They replied

Know issue: some HDD will take about 30sec to mount on the system.

We will fix it in future update.

Please take note I'm giving support to my customers.

Of course I known that by giving support to another's resellers (*), I'm giving support to my own's.

But I need to highlight this just in order to ask for your recommendation for future buyers.

Or future buyer's take in consideration my customer support through this thread

Of course thanks for that.. (if you do

(*) Keep on asking I'll keep on responding. But if % of own's customers increase it's better !!!

Thanks, I have that exact projector. Surprised you couldn't get 'Toy Story 3 3D' to play. Worked fine via 'Direct Play' mode. Looks absolutely gorgeous in 3D, except for the Spanish credits of course.

Has anyone tried the Mitsubishi 3D Retail Program (May 15, 2010 - Nov 15, 2010) Demo Bluray disc on thier HD900B? My C-200 would not play it at all in 2D. But last night I used BDedit and changed the index.bdmv with a setting changed in it and now my C-200 plays it in 2D. I'm going to see if I can get Cars 2 3D iso to edit its index.bdmv to play the correct 00801.mpls english 2D playlist. Because when the C-200 tries to play this movie, I get the usual Disney detects that I need a 3D Bluray player and refuses to play. Then I can share my results to see if this can help you guys with your HD900B.

Maybe since I am going through a Radiance. I am not too worried for now, since everything works fine through my Oppo BDP-93.

so you're confirming that was the issue and that it does detect after about 30 seconds?

It was a copy & paste of what Himedia repiled, not a "personal" confirmation.

I was actually asking whether desray had tested the theory, whether he waited 30 seconds to see if the unit detected it
