Too bad the PAIN development company went under.

You know they'd take full advantage of the vitas back screen and such.

Is it possible to "add on" a European PS Plus account even though I already have Plus in the US? The EU Plus has WAY better deals...
I'm not a Vita owner but I've paid attention to threads here and elsewhere about the system so I believe what I'm about to say is reasonably accurate. Your American account can't access the European store so you would need a European account. And as far as I'm aware, you can't easily have multiple PSN accounts going on your Vita so it's essentially a non-option to get a European account and subscribe.

I don't even think having multiple memory cards with each account on a single card will accomplish it. I've read that you actually have to reset your Vita to switch between different accounts which is a lot of hassle. And if you did select to deal with it anyways, be aware that you wouldn't be able to use your regular PSN account as you're playing your European purchases.

And even if that wasn't an issue, I suspect any savings you might earn will be outweighed by the hassle and extra cost of getting European PSN points to spend for purchases (American points cards won't work with the European store and your credit cards won't be of any use to you).

More or less what Leo Ames said, you'd need another memory card and everytime you switched regions you actually have to reset your vita in the settings. YMMV but it's more or less a hassle.

I wish Sony would just treat each region equally in terms of deals and available games so that people didn't have to jump through hoops to access content from other regions. Since the ps3 is capable of multiple regions I'm not sure why they restrict this feature on their handhelds.....

*** DEAL ALERT!!!! ***

At Sony's online store, the 32 GB memory card is on sale for $80, and when you add it to the cart an additional $20 is taken off for a shipped price of only $60! I'm glad I waited to nab one when I first got a Vita; I quickly completed my order right now. Get one before they sell out. smile.gif

Also available:

16 GB for $36
8 GB for $18
4 GB for $12

Thanks. Just ordered a 16 GB card.
The 32gb cards are gone, there are still 16gb cards available.
Yeah, I hear the 32 GBs sold out in an hour or two, even though the site cancelled people with multiple card purchases in order to spread 'em around.
I hear that some people were able to get Best Buy to match by showing them this print out of the 32 GB deal.

Jetpack Joyride is free for Vita and PS3 (don't confuse it with the Mini version). Works great with the rear touch pad. Sound Shapes and Touch My Katamari are on sale too. Chronovolt is free for PS+, but I read that it's not worth the download.

3g Vita is on sale at Best Buy and Future Shop for $199.99 in Canada.

Lumines for the Vita was originally listed to be $15 for PS+, but the Sony blog took it down saying it was a mistake. It is still discounted to $21 for all purchasers, but I was already keyed in to the PS+ price when I loaded up the store and disappointed that it wasn't there. I'll keep waiting.

I am not much on racers but really digging the need for speed most wanted. Love the open world style. I have rented it for a month now and should buy it already.

I got sucked back into Persona 4 Golden after taking a short break from it. Fantastic game.

Having a problem with AC III Liberation. Error is "An error has occurred in the following application. (C2-12828-1) Assassin's Creed III Liberation. The only thing I could find on Google had to do with network issues, so we turned off the wifi. That didn't fix it. Since we are still on the small 8GB card, I tried removing some apps to free up space, that didn't work either. Anyone run into this and have a solution?
Seriously, what's all this talk about a "Vita"? My Persona 4 Golden player seems to be similar to this device you guys have been talking about, but whenever I try to play something else, fifteen minutes later it's back on Persona 4.

Just saw the best deal yet on craigslist for a new Vita. NIB Madden Vita for $135.

If only they had a couple more games that I was interested in, because I absolutely love the tech involved in this hardware!!
The best deal for a Vita is this: Go to Amazon, add to cart, add Persona 4 to cart, hit checkout, wait two days, thank me profusely.

I am playing P4G on Vita, it is a huge upgrade graphically over P3P on the PSP Go. I'm not just talking about the world (where you walk instead of using a cursor), but the battle scenes and TV/Tartarus.

Anyone have the Nyko Power Grip? I just got one and am pretty sure it's defective OOB but want to make sure first. 2 possible "problems":

1) I let it charge for 15 hours or so and the light never turned green (did this without the Vita plugged into it)

2) My Vita battery ran down first so I waited for the Grip battery to kick in but instead my Vita powered off...

Broken right? Or is there anything I can check for?
Yep, look back a few posts. I've been talking about it on and off on the last page or two.

We leave our Vita in it all the time. The way it works is you'll see your Vita's battery stay full for a very long time, then once the grip runs down you'll see the Vita's battery start to go down.

I have mentioned in previous posts that it takes a VERY long time to charge. I honestly don't know if 15 hours is sufficient for the initial charge, I didn't pay attention to how long it took. The light does turn green when it's fully charged though.

So the Nyko battery is used first? When it gets low does the red light blink and then shut down so it doesn't drain completely? When my Vita shut down I never saw any warning that the Nyko battery was low. Other than the red light during charge I have not seen the light on at all. Should it blink once it gets low? I guess I don't understand what the grip should be telling me...

And seems like most people online are saying 6-8 hours to charge it...I did 15 and still had a red light...do you remember doing that at first?

The red light blinks, and I assume that's when the grip is low. It all works so seamlessly that we don't put any thought into it. When I got it home, I plugged it in, was about 3 in the afternoon. I didn't touch it until the next day, so I don't know when the charge was complete. I believe you have a defective unit.
My Nyko power grip started flashing red last night at 11pm. The Vita battery was indicating full charge (and didn't have the charging icon). I plugged the charge cable into the Nyko and it went solid red. At 5am the light on the Nyko flipped from solid red to green. I unplugged the charger and the green light went out. This is the normal behavior I've seen over the 6 weeks of owning the Nyko.

And like TornadoTJ, I leave my Vita in the Nyko all the time.

There's a PSN Mobile special going on for 5 weeks each Wednesday (beginning 1/16) - they are giving away a FREE PS Mobile game each Wednesday. This week's free game Samurai Beatdown.

Thanks guys...I will return mine then...what's weird is they are very hard to find now. Most Gamestops in my area are OOS and is OOS online and Best Buys only have "ship to store 5-7 days". Is Nyko not producing them anymore? Too many defective ones?

I live in Dallas, but travel a lot. In October I was in Los Angeles and nearby where I was working was a GameStop. I stopped in to get a PowerGrip. They had none in stock. He said there were none in Los Angeles. I mentioned we have them in Dallas, and he brought up a good point - "GameStop headquarters is in the Dallas area, they get preferential treatment".

I got my PowerGrip from Amazon. Looks like they are in stock there, too.

I'd get one from Amazon but since the first one is a lemon I'm a little hesitant to go that route just because it's more of a pain to return compared to a local retail store...looks like that's my only option right now though...

So I tried to download this yesterday and couldn't because of store maintenance and then I go shoot a video of a concert last night for a music video, come home late from the shoot, go on the store to download right away and it's a no go. Still in maintenance. That can sometimes get annoying especially during times in which I'm trying to download a demo or free game. I can imagine this happening to Soul Sacrifice. Announce that a demo will be in the store the next day and then go on maintenance for far longer than expected.

Now this will be interesting.

Hopefully it wont be long to see a native PS Vita Tekken game. I'm talking the traditional one, not a Street fighter verses Tekken kind. I've read rumors in the past and hopefully they come true. And then theirs Virtua Fighter. I haven't even heard a good rumor but maybe Sega will see the light and do it.

Wow, that's the exact opposite of my experience with Amazon. I can do everything right here at my desk/home and never have to go anywhere. I ask for a return, the shipping label is emailed to me, and it either goes in the mail or I hand it to UPS the next time they stop by. They never ask any questions, and in fact now that I think about it they ship the new item before I send back the old one back. My last return they even sent overnight with Saturday delivery.
