For fantastic portable titles that you can pick up and drop at any time, I recommend Velocity Ultra (unique shoot'em up) and Surge (unique 3-gem action puzzle game).

Just wanted to say the original Rayman looks GREAT on the Vita screen, and can't complain about $1.50!

Try LittleBigPlanet for the Vita.

Was thinking about that. LBP seems like it would be a good fit.

Dragon's Crown is getting rave reviews as well if you like old-school side-scrollers with RPG elements.
The ones which have caught my eye so far:

LBP
Muramasa
Zero Escape
Dragons Crown
Unit 13 (demo was cool)
Dungeon Hunter (hopefully not a rehash from my phone)
Army Corps of Hell (reviews not good)
Unit 13 is an underrated gem (if it had competitive multiplayer, I'd probably still be playing it). I never get tired of Super Stardust Delta. Also, though Rayman Origins doesn't have any multiplayer component, it is cheap right now on PS+ (sadly, you probably just missed Zero Escape as a freebie on PS+ by about a week). Jetpack Joyride (rear touchpad makes it the best version imo) and Treasures of Montezuma Blitz (people complain about having to wait to regenerate lives, but you can just set the Vita clock ahead 1 hour) are a couple of great freebies.

One game that isn't mentioned yet is Guacamelee. You might as well also pick up the couple of DLC packs. It can get very easy in a lot of parts and then their are parts that will make you loose your hair. Not sure if you already bought a PS3 version. It's cross buy nonetheless so if theirs an area that you can't get through on you PS Vita, you might be able to get though it on your PS3. .
Since Super Frog HD is a platformer, has cross buy, cross save and cross controller support, I figured I might as well purchase it to see how it is. With the cross controller, you can obviously control the PS3 version with your PS Vita but a benefit for doing that is the ability to get into levels that are missing from the PS3 version. This is sort of how it was for Little Big Planet 2 in which you get more content if you also own a PS VIta although for Super Frog's case, you're able to beat the entire game using a PS Vita. For Little Big Planet 2, it was for special levels. I suspect will get a bit more games working like that for the PS4.

Here's some more info.

ZEN Pinball 2, with all DLC, is just an awesome game.

I tried the demo and it felt too busy. Think I tried the Marvel one. Got sucked into Pinball Arcade instead.

PS Vita pets.

It's being compared to Nintendogs quit a bit. It's also getting a lot of heat like what happened when Playstation All Stars battle Royal got revealed.

A Sony insider on Gaf just let it slip that a Vita price drop is happening soon. (Gamescom soon)

Odd that this came from the Microsoft esram yeild thread, but hey, sometimes we luck out.

Next week's Target ad was leaked about 2 weeks ago (see cheapassgamer) and has all Vita's at $199.

It makes all kinds of sense to do so, with the PS4 launching soon. Those memory card prices need to be slashed as well......
$40-50 32GB memory cards and a Vita/PS4 bundle could seriously push me into next gen...

$165 would be a no brainer, I'd jump in overnight.

Just pre-ordered The Walking Dead 3G/Wi-Fi Vita bundle with 4GB card on Amazon for $200. I assume I won't be required to sign up for the 3G contract in order to use it via Wi-Fi only?
Nah, WIfi alone works fine either way.

Sweet! Now I just have to find out the release date.

EDIT: 8 GB card will only be $19.99 according to the PS Blog: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/08/20/ps-vita-now-199-99-in-north-america/

Killzone public beta is up for PS+ members (should have gotten a code via email).

Also, Minecraft is coming to PS3 and Vita too!!!

Imo, a Minecraft/Vita bundle (hopefully not the pocket edition) could finally give Vita a mainstream audience (better still, if it's cross-save, cross-buy and available this holiday season).

Thanks, I updated my post.

Amazon have had the 32GB card for around $80 to $82 so many times. The current price is $78.51. Hopefully it wont be long until we see Amazon slashing the prices far more aggressively because these prices are still a bit high. It's incredible that the new retail price is the best Sony can do. I know they must read all those posts of people restricting their game purchases because of memory card prices. At the very least they should offer PSN credit for each card if they want the cards to still be very high. An Example would be $30 credit for the 32GB card, $15 for the 16GB card, etc. It would have also have been nice to see they release a 64GB card.

Thumbs are tired. 17-30 something on my first match. Still not sure how to hack the tube things. Pulls up some odd hacking thing but I keep dying before I can figure it out.
The hack screen you have to press one of the icons on the side that is a partial match to the lock then press the lock. Usually 2 icons unlocks it.

I just want a 128 MB memory card. I am so sick of rearranging my stuff every Tuesday and I have the 32. Here is a list of games that I own but I can't even fit on my Vita, and this is totally incomplete:

Ecolibrium
Uncharted
Wipeout
Germinanator
Zero Escape
Escape Plan
Frobisher
Mortal Kombat
Knytt Undergound
Jet Set Radio
Dead or Alive 5
BlazBlue
I've pretty much taken the position that I will restrict downloads to games only available digitally, or Psone classics/psp games. I can imagine it being a pain for all-digital gamers, though.....
Gamestop selling 32GB Vita memory card for $65 now, may be online only.
