Man, the more and more videos I watch and all the talk about how this is going to integrate with the PS4 makes me want to get one of these. I think I have a couple buddies that have one that I might be able to talk into selling them off...at a good price hopefully.

That's a solid looking platformer. Nothing spectacularly unique, but the character is based off of my favorite movie hero and the music (if it is from the game) is fantastic.

Sign up for Best Buy's free Gamer Club, then purchase a 32GB Vita memory card for only $45!

You will see the total low price (down from the current sale price) once you input your member code, or you can go to a local BB and get it for the same price once they verify your member status.

The normal price was well over $100 last year about this time, and has been at about $80 since the recent price reduction. This is a good deal for a high priced unit.

Still $20 too expensive. tongue.gif
As long as it is proprietary (i.e. forever), it will always cost more than the mass produced memory cards.

Hopefully Sony releases the 64GB cards in the US before Christmas. It's also about time Sony start offering 32 or 64GB card bundles in the US. It'll be interesting seeing what kind of Black Friday deals some places will have.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is another side scroller on Kickstarter that is coming out on many platforms.

All backers will get exclusive in game content. I'm bummed out that you need to get a higher tier to get credit unlike Mighty No. 9 but on the other hand, getting exclusive content even for people who just pledge $15 for the game isn't bad. For Mighty No. 9, you had to pledge at least $60 in order to get exclusive backer in game content.

Like Mighty No. 9, Sony also decided to allow Shantae: Half-Genie Hero be on the blog.

Has anyone tried to "swap in" a new Vita for their old one? I loaned mine to a friend when he went on a trip to Europe, and he left it behind on a train (he feels terrible about it) and has bought me a new one, which is currently charging. Before doing that, though, I synchronized my trophies, backed up the Vita to my computer, put a new memory card in, reformatted, and started it with his PSN profile* - I got the procedure from IGN's Vita Account-Switching video.

Am I right in thinking that if I put in my memory card from the previous Vita, start it up and enter all my PSN information, then restore from the backup on my computer, I will essentially have a new Vita that acts like my lost one, including installed games and saves?

*For reference, here's the steps I wrote down in preparation for loaning my Vita out:
1. Synchronize trophies
2. Back up Vita
3. Remove current card
4. Restart
5. Format -> Restore
6. Deactivate
7. Restore
8. Put in new PSN profile
9. Swap in new card
10. System Activation -> Reactivate

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Now if only Gamestop decide to sell this for $10 not too long after release like what happened with Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita.

You can replace the battery in the Vita 2000... hopefully there's a bit of extra room in there for a bigger one.

Kotaku says that Batman Blackgate is better than Shadow Complex. Um, can you get here any faster, Fedex?
Better than Shadow Complex!? This game just jumped onto my radar.

Gamespot was a lot less kind. They gave it 5/10. I have just started playing it and it is gorgeous. It has allayed my fears of being just a 3DS port. The negative review says it doesn't fall apart until later, so I can't speak on that. I have a feeling that I'll be more in Kotaku camp on this one.

Firmware update 3.0 almost out.
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/04/ps-vita-3-00-system-update-coming-soon/

Some extra and modified features but I would have loved to be able to use my DualShock on the PS Vita or a Firefox browser would have been nice.
For now, they should at least fix the downloading bug that happens sometimes.
And they will FINALLY allow dloading straight from the PS3 via Wifi.

Here's a video showing off the improvements:

Have they increased the limit on content? Seems as if you only were allotted a certain amount of icons, folders, or something like that and a lot of people were having to delete content despite having memory space just to add something else.
Update is live.

The Panoramic feature is pretty cool from the 2 examples I did so far.

OK, Maybe someone can do me a favor. Go to the store using your PS VIta. Do you see a price on Proteus or does it say Free? I just bought it a few days ago for crying out loud. Sony said they weren't going to do this any more and it wouldn't be good for a game to be free around 5 or 6 days after it hits the store. In my case, I really hope it's just showing up as free on my end. Who knows, maybe someone at Sony set it to Free recently by accident.

$11 something for me.

I tried out the new firmware with the WiFi transfer last night. I was able to transfer individual files at what seemed like faster than USB. I was unable to complete a full backup using WiFi. 29Gig of data reached 20gigs before I noticed the Wifi icon on the Vita dissappeared and the Vita was unresponsive. I held the power button for over 10 or 15 seconds and it rebooted and is working again.

It's been awhile since I connected the Vita to the PS3. Is there a way to see what files I have copied onto my PS3? I found a folder icon in the games section of the PS3 for the Vita but the only information I can get is the size of the Vita folder.

They did according to the Sony rep responding to the PS Blog comments:

Is the “Preparing to download” fix in this? I still have to reboot my system every once and a while when it gets hung up after a purchase.

Yes! This should be fixed in 3.00. Thanks for your patience, sorry it took a bit

I feel a little better knowing that it's just on my end seeing that. That's 1 thing that needs to be modified in the store. It should say eighter purchased or download and not free.

Anyway, here's a simple video I did demonstrating the panoramic camera feature. If only I went to the beach earlier it would have been much brighter.

Just got WRC 4 imported from the UK. You can get it on American Amazon now directly from UK sellers, but I got it from Amazon.co.uk and paid a little extra because I'm impatient. I have never seen this much improvement in a year to year title. The graphics are better, the sound is better, the physics are better, and it has the full career mode from console instead of the gimpy nothing from last year. Even the trees look (a little) better. Hell, my only complaints are that you need to learn how to drive better with the better physics and there aren't enough variations to the track segments, but that's been my complaint with every rally game except Colin McRae 2003. Now I regret not importing Moto GP 13 along with it.

I am guessing these two games are not available in the US? Sorry for the n00b question, but I am new to the PS Vita stuff...and really anything PlayStation related.
