Some extra and modified features but I would have loved to be able to use my DualShock on the PS Vita or a Firefox browser would have been nice.
For now, they should at least fix the downloading bug that happens sometimes.

Still want my Vita to be a remote control for my PS3.

They are only published in Europe, but all Vita games (so far) are region free. Unfortunately, if they make DLC for it, it won't work with your US account.

Thanks, although it sucks you can't get DLC.

I would bet there won't be DLC for either game, though. WRC 3 had DLC, but it was free DLC to make up for the fact that they cut out half of the game to fit it onto a smaller memory card. This year the game came out 100% complete and equal to the console version.

This is a bit strange, but my Vita is my biggest motivation to get a PS4. Not too excited about it due to my HUGE backlog, but I want to use my Vita with one. JUST CUZ I CAN, DAMN IT! Lol!

Strange? I'd say it's 2/3 the reason for my switch from Xbox One to Playstation 4! That and the backlash.

Luckily for me Diablo isn't the type of game I'd be interested in anyway but I really hope you don't see a lot more made up excuses over why certain games wont support it. In Diablo's case, the only logical reason why they'd do that, that I can come up with is to not harm sales of a potential PS Vita version (if their is one). Yes their are legitimate reasons for some games such as needing to use the camera or move but that's different.

Several of the console games had paid DLC. If this Vita port is actually the full experience this time and the console games get another paid DLC add-on like I believe both WRC 2 and 3 got, it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

No classic rally cars out of the box is one hint of potential DLC.

Vita WiFi $159.99

Nov is already ridiculously expensive. This isn't helping...

I grabbed that Castle Storm and it's been a fun time killer this weekend.

Concerning that Radio Shack deal, the Wifi/3G version is the same price. I'd pick this version instead:

Guess it doesn't hurt. 3G is pretty much useless but for the (PSN) social features though I'd imagine. And ack to another service/ISP fee.

but I guess options are always nice.

That Vita for $160 bucks is too good of a deal to pass up. i might pull the trigger on one even though my wife already bought one (but it's hers. I want my own. My PSP is starting to become dated)

Well being that it is online only and the 3G/Wifi one is OOS looks like the Wifi only one is the only option at this moment.

The 3G model also have GPS.

Sorry for this basic question. I have a PS4 preordered and have a PS3 that doesn't get used as much as I'd like due to having a young child. I really like the idea of getting a PS Vita to use for remote play with the PS4 as I can then hopefully get more use of out PS4 games when it is not reasonable for me to be sitting in the game room playing rather than watching my child.

Besides buying a PS Vita and having PS4 games that support remote play, is there any other accessories (memory card?) that would be required to use the Vita for remote play?

Thanks!

Edit to add: I have fast reliable wifi in my home.

I'm not sure if a memory card is required for remote play, but to get the most out of your Vita and to be able to play any of the free games for Plus members (and use streaming apps like Netflix and Youtube) you will at least need a 4 gb card, though an 8 gb would be better and probably all the space you'll need if you aren't planning on buying a bunch of Vita games digitally.

Thanks! Getting a small memory card is fine, I can always get a bigger one down the road if I choose. Hopefully the remote play feature works well (seems like it does with the few videos I have seen), I am looking forward to having more opportunities to play my console games.

If I remember correctly, GameStop had an 8 gb card for $15 in its BF ad. I recently got mine on eBay (new) for $17 shipped.

Flower is available on the PSN in case some of you didn't know. You just have to type it into the search box to find it. If any of you have the PS3 version, you wont need to but it and obviously it's coming to the PS4 as well. 3 way cross buy.

WTF? Talk about a phantom release. It wasn't listed anywhere on the blog and did not show up under new releases last night.
It was mentioned on the blog last month, but I agree it's odd that they didn't make a bigger deal out of it:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/10/16/flower-flow-sound-shapes-escape-plan-coming-to-ps4/

(Although that entry says the official release date is tomorrow, so maybe tomorrow there'll be a bigger announcement?)

They admitted they screwed up in the store update post's comments and have since added it in.

When I saw that, I immediately downloaded and started playing Flower on my Vita. It looked awesome on the OLED screen and played nicely using the tilt controls. The game really holds up and it's nice to have an excuse to get into it again after four years since I last played it.

We'll see how long it takes for them to actually put it into the "New Releases" section of the store on the PS VIta.

Anyway, theirs another sales going on and this time It's the Walking Dead 3G bundle for $180. Their should be a good Black Friday sale for something like $140 to $150 which includes a memory card and 2 games. Still, I'm personally hoping for "good" sales on the 32GB card and the 64GB ones should have been in the US by now.

For anyone hoping to import the Vita TV, it seems that it only works with the Japanese store right now. It will play American disc based games fine, though.

Wow that radio shack deal ran out pretty fast. At least there's still that Persona 4 Golden Bundle to look forward to. I just need to save up enough to buy it, and hope it doesn't run out.

Here's a demo of someone using the Vita for PS4 remote play over the internet:

Based on the trigger action halfway through, that is a much smoother game play experience than I thought it would be since he isn't using wi-fi.

Here's it connecting. Pretty cool stuff!

So I guess MineCraft for the PS VIta will be like the console version.
