I recorded some videos in HDFX before I knew that I wouldn't be able to put them on my MacBook Pro. Is there any way to change the files so that I can edit them in iMovie?
oh cool. Thanks for the reply. I'm using iMovie 9 cuz I haven't upgraded to 10.6 yet. Maybe I'll just do that. Are there any other options like some obscure app that i can install just to get the movies on my computer drive?
You should be able to copy the files manually to your Mac without going through iMovie. I'm not familiar with iOS, but do you have a file manager program where you can browse the contents of your Sony's memory and copy the MTS files to your Mac?
You don't need a program to do that, you just open the camcorder up on the Finder, as if it were any other external hard drive. Just get Final Cut Pro X.
