Comparing Video Calibration Disks for poss use in Calman

I am thinking about purchasing Calman but I was wondering if someone might discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each of the following for use with Calman:

Getgray
Digital Video Essentials (DVE)
Avia
AVS HD 709

I have an Epson 8700 UB projector and a Panny Bluray DVD player.

Of note, this will be my first calibration but if successful, I would then attempt my HD TV's.

Thanks,
Jay

AVS to me is the easiest of them all to work with in Calman.

Getgray + Avia have DVD SD Resolution PAL or NTSC Patterns.

For HD Calibration Get DVE (watch the whole presentation, it will give you a lot of info about the calibration basic, controls etc.) and then download + Burn the AVSHD which will be easier for you to use. (Read the AVSHD Manual Also)

I apologize for my noobiness but all of my TV's and my projector are HD. They are all upscaling though the TV signals are sometimes SD. Do I need to (or can I even) calibrate for SD or should I only worry about HD calibration?

Thanks.
