I'm looking to buy new speakers system for the media room size 16 by 16.
I was planning to buy either Martin Logan Motion 12, Motion 8 Center, Motion 4 as surround with Dynamo 500 or Definitive Technology BP 8040ST , CS8040HD and SR8040BP . I have an Onkyo TX- SR606. which one is better sound. I watch mostly movies and do hear some music.

The only thing I'd say is to be aware that the ML's are 4 ohm speakers, the DefTechs 8 ohm speakers, so make sure the Onkyo can handle 4 ohm speakers without clipping if you decide on the Martin Logans.

It is 8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz. It is a 7.1 channel. and 90w per channel.

4ohm speakers aren't a good idea with the 606.

Well budget is tight.. max of 2k.
70% movies 30% music.
