Way to use HDMI and Optical at the same time or an easy way to switch between them?

Currently I have all of my sound going out my HDMI to my receiver then my receiver to the TV. Works well except for one problem, the baby sleeps outside the room its in and is causing some tension.. :-)

What I would like to do is run HDMI to the TV and optical to the receiver (I really don't need the HDMI switching). I would like to run it through HDMI and just stereo or DD 99% of the time to the TV but have the ability to flip over to the receiver and optical easily.

I know I can go in and change a bunch of settings but I would like to put the process in a batch file or macro of some sort and then call it from my Harmony remote.

Any ideas?
