hey mark,

i didn't read it as lame or condescending at all. he offered to pick up the cost for the subs, so nobody would be out the money while they were being tested.

craig could always purchase the products "anonymously" but you have to respect him being open about the buy and the test.

ricci has no horse in the race and will simply report what he finds.

he has done enough such measurements and reporting that folks will know that their product will get a fair shake.

your amp and eq are going to knock the snot out of his, so why not give it a go?

^^^^ I don't think Mark said he wasn't going to ...

Sending a SubMersive HP to Ricci has been intended long before last weekend. As a business owner I have to be conscious of many things with respect to timing. I don't need Craig's chairity for the testing to happen. There's nothing holding up Craig from getting his subs to Ricci to prove whatever he feels he needs to prove. Testing the subwoofers to the extent Ricci does requires quite a bit of time. I'd be surprised if he would even be able to do more than a few in one day

I read it as to say Mark's intention is to send in one of his own subs himself and he didn't need another competitor telling people he's willing to "buy Mark's sub to send to Ricci himself" ...

No problem Jeff. I still think you need to design a big dual-opposed sealed unit with the 4000w DSP amp and two (tweaked?) Captivator 18's.

Call it the JTR Enslaver.

I think it should be a rule that all ID offerings have sweet names.

Is the Submersive's big brother going to be the Submissive?

Is the CHT 18.2 the same as the SS 18.2? If not, is there a link to the CHT 18.2 on the Chase Home Theater web site?

The John Holmes ...

Enough said.

Why not call it the Kim Kardashian? Could run some ads like, "More bottom end than you know what to do with." or "Doesn't matter where you place it because it'll always put out."

Spongebob-

The CS series was the first run of subs. They are the early finish. These are what I have in my HT.

The SS series 18.2 you can currently get and stands for Sealed Sub, I believe. This is what was tested at the GTG.
These are at discounted prices a bit because there are new cabinets arriving from a different enclosure maker. The finish and construction is considerably better on the 2012 line.

You should be able to purchase the new or old cabinet designs on the website, and if not just get on the forum and send a PM to craigsub.

The only flaw in this name is that the amp on the sub will only last for 72 days.

Emasculator - 10 for WAF, 1 for SQ and extension, 8" cube box - a.k.a. Acoustimass

Decimator - guaranteed to crack drywall or your money back

Eviscerator - ref flat to 1 Hz, guaranteed to cause intestinal problems requiring surgery

Thanks for that, BBB.

I think an MSRP attached to that would also highlight the value leaders.

I like the SubMassive for the big brother of the SubMersive.

Or, perhaps...The Ex-Wife?
