The real question is, did the heart come from the wife's chest...or from the Queen's secret chest of drawers where she seems to keep everyone's hearts?

There is no question about that in my mind. I think that it came from one of the queen's drawers. But I wonder if the girl is still alive locked up somewhere or just dead.

In the fairytale world, when the queen took the heart out, I was under the impression that the victim was left heartless, but alive. Obviously in the real world that can't be the case otherwise when one of the victims was checked over by a doctor, there wouldn't be a heartbeat. So, there must be a heart in the victim.

We've yet to see a person actually die while trying to leave town. They keep having car accidents, but are still alive. So, in this case, it certainly appears that the queen has taken the heart out of the drawer and placed it at the river, locking her up somewhere.

They promised me Roger Daltrey and so far I've gotten less than the opening credits of a CSI episode.
Roger Daltry was not a human cast member, but instead was the voice of the talking caterpillar.

Yep, which seemed appropriate

"Who are you" ...
I think asterion knows Roger Daltrey was the voice of the caterpillar. His comment referred to the fact that Daltrey's "role" was basically a cameo in which he only spoke four words: "Who...who are you?" -- the same words you can here when you watch the CSI opening credits.

I'm glad someone got the joke. Seriously, the opening to CSI is 30 seconds long and you get about 9 times as many words and I think longer than the whole hyped appearance. But see, now it's not funny that I had to explain the whole thing.

The animators did do a pretty good job making it look like Roger Daltrey though.

And could they have at least given me a YEAH! while they were at it?

I felt sorry for the Mad Hatter.

Anyway, we are now up to three in Storybrook who remember -- the Queen, Gold and Jefferson.

I don't know if Jefferson qualifies any longer ..

It seems the mysterious writer knows something also.

Entertaining episode.
I liked how Jefferson told Emma exactly what was going on and then she whacked him over the head...lol, well played Emma, well played.

But, where the mad hatter (Jefferson) go? did the hat work? did he fell in the hat?

I'm still finding the Queen way hotter and pretier than Snow White....

Of course she is. The way the character Snow White is portrayed as homely/plain helps the illusion. Now compare the "Big Love" Ginnifer Goodwin to the Snow White Ginnifer and there's a difference.

It could be that when the people die in our world, they either simply cease to exist or are transported back to their reality (alive or dead).
Jefferson / The Hatter appeared to have gone totally off the deep end and was maniacly attempting to make a magic hat in a huge Warehouse 13 type place ..

In our world, he died ..
I thought when the first sheriff died there was a body. Why no dead body for the mad hatter?
Me thinks maybe he fell into the hat....or ran off.

I think that was the implication. She made the hat, there really was magic there, as he was falling, he "entered" the hat and was transported by it. The hat was there, the broken pieces of the window were there, but he was not there, not even a trace of him (blood). The teleportation magic worked.

Or something completely different happened

Wouldn't Regina be really unhappy about this? If he had managed to leave, when he clearly said that no one was allowed to leave, then her power would clearly be diminishing.

With apologies to Frosty...

There must have been some magic
In that old silk hat she made.
For when she placed it in his hands
He jumped out the window and the hat and window landed on the ground and then apparently nothing was left of him so he probably went into the hat and disappeared

La la la la la

So if the mad hatter was stuck in the Queen of Hearts realm, that he hates, making hats non-stop, why does he want to go back there so bad? Seems he has a better life now then stuck in a room making hats all day.

He's just doing the same thing he was doing in Wonderland: trying to get home. He doesn't want to go back to Wonderland, obviously.

If you remember... the hat took him to a room, the room had doors and mirrors to other worlds. If the hat worked, it would take him to the room of doors where he can choose what world to go to.

Brain freeze, my bad, completely forgot that part, I kept thinking they go back to where they were when they left but of course we don't know that.

I could be wrong, BUT, I think only "wonderland" was accessed "through the looking glass." Get it? I *THINK* that there was only one mirror. I'll have to go back and check to be sure.

I think you're right. I only remember seeing the one mirror for sure, and lots of doors... but I wasn't sure that there wasn't another mirror or window in there somewhere.

The other mirror takes you into Tommy. Where there's still Roger Daltrey and he still doesn't say much of anything.

But look at how they dress her. She's in expensive clothes that show off her best assets. Snow is dressed like a homeless woman. (Well not really, but you get my point)

That is the one thing that is way off for me too - despite the fact that Snow is supposed to be the fairest of them all, she ranks right near the bottom of the list amongst all the hotties on this show! I much prefer the Queen, Belle, Red, Amy Acker, and Charming's ex before Snow.

You guys are missing the point: Snow is supposed to be unattractive. She's under the queen's curse.

By bringing people to a place she basically created in our world, she gets what she always wanted: a) power and b) she's now the fairest of them all.

As far as snow, we've only seen her in full "fairest" mode a few times since most of the fantasy flashbacks have been before she and Charming got hitched...
